Patent number: 7380399Abstract: To provide a short connection hydraulic path structure with a sufficiently large diameter to adequately lower the pressure in a high-pressure hydraulic path while the clutch is off, in a static hydraulic continuously variable transmission for sliding a clutch valve installed within the transmission shaft, to change the power being transmitted and shorten the high-pressure hydraulic path and low-pressure hydraulic path. A high-pressure fluid path is provided for sending hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic pump side to the hydraulic motor side with a low-pressure fluid path for sending hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic motor side to the hydraulic pump side. A hydraulic circuit includes a switching valve for switching the plungers to the high-pressure path or the low-pressure path as a dual structure within a valve body between the hydraulic pump made from multiple plungers, and a hydraulic motor made from multiple motors.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2006Date of Patent: June 3, 2008Assignee: Honda Motor Co., LtdInventors: Yoshihiro Yoshida, Kazuhiko Nakamura, Hideo Okuzaki

In a hydraulic non-stage transmission CVT including a swash plate plunger type hydraulic pump P and a swash plate plunger type hydraulic motor M connected to each other through a hydraulic closed circuit, a pump swash plate member is driven to rotate. A pump cylinder and a motor cylinder are connected to each other and disposed in a connected state on an output shaft. A motor swash plate, restricted in rotation, is oscillated, and the swash plate angle can be regulated variably. A pump-side spool rotatable as one body with the pump swash plate member and a motor-side spool maintained fixedly are inserted in a valve hole formed in the output shaft to penetrate through the output shaft in the axial direction. Patent number: 6283009Abstract: In a swash plate type hydraulic unit for use as a swash plate type hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor, a plurality of block plates 41 to 45 being divided at split planes extending orthogonal to a cylinder block axis X are soldered to one another to form a cylinder block 4. Inlet holes 25i and 39i for supporting plungers 27 and 41 slidably therein are formed in an inlet-side one of the block plates 41, 42; 44, 45 located close to plunger swash plates 9a and 19a, while in remaining inner-side ones of the block plates 43 to 45; 41 to 43 are formed inner holes 25o and 39o of a diameter larger than that of the inlet holes 25i and 39i, the inner holes 25o and 39o each defining an oil chamber to which the outer peripheral surface of the associated plunger 27, 41 faces. With this arrangement, a cylinder block structure superior in mass-productivity is provided.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2000Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tsutomu Hayashi, Yoshihiro Nakajima, Hideo Okuzaki, Masako Takahashi

Patent number: 6122914Abstract: It is intended to provide a swash plate type continuously variable transmission capable of automatically affording a lock-up state in which second distributing valves are stopped at their stroke mid-point to cut off motor ports when a motor swash plate stands upright, even without using any special interlocking mechanism. Second distributing valves for bringing motor ports of motor cylinder bores into communication with a high-pressure oil path and a low-pressure oil path selectively in an alternate manner are arranged in parallel with the axis X of a cylinder block; a valve swash plate for reciprocating the second distributing valves is integrally combined with a motor swash plate on the same slant plane; and the motor ports are formed so as to be controlled selectively by the second distributing valves at respective positions 90.degree.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1998Date of Patent: September 26, 2000Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabhushiki KaishaInventors: Tsutomu Hayashi, Yoshihiro Nakajima, Hideo Okuzaki, Masako Takahashi, Hiroaki Kayama, Kenji Sakakibara
