  • Publication number: 20010002141
Abstract: In an electronic endoscope system, a scope has a solid image sensor provided at a distal end thereof to generate image-pixel signals. An image-signal processing unit produces a video signal based on the image-pixel signals. An alteration system alters a peak-to-peak level of a synchronizing-signal component of the video signal. An manual setting system manually operates the alteration system to perform the alteration of the peak-to-peak level of the synchronizing-signal component.

  • Patent number: 6231503
Abstract: The endoscopic light source apparatus has an illuminating light converging mechanism (20) in which a lightguide connector (3) to be connected displaces a condenser lens (22) in a direction parallel to the optical axis of illuminating light so that irrespective of the length of the lightguide connector (3), the illuminating light entrance end face (4a) of the lightguide connector (3) is located near the position in which the rays of illuminating light converge, and a filter inserting and retracting mechanism (30) which moves in operative association with the illuminating light converging mechanism (20) such that a light attenuating filter (31) is inserted into or retracted from the rays of illuminating light depending upon the length of the lightguide connector (3).

  • Patent number: 6181368
Abstract: An electronic endoscope having a solid state image pickup device supplies an image signal which is converted into a digital signal and subject to a gamma correction in a gamma correcting portion in accordance with gamma correcting data stored in and read from a look-up table. The look-up table stores only data necessary for the gamma correction with respect to the image signal, so that data for the gamma correction is added to the image signal in the gamma correcting portion to output a gamma-corrected signal.

  • Patent number: 6080537
Abstract: A silver halide emulsion is disclosed, comprising a dispersing medium and silver halide grains having a variation coefficient of grain size distribution of not more than 20%, at least 50% of total grain projected area of the emulsion being accounted for by tabular grains an aspect ratio of at least 5, the tabular grains each having a surface region having an iodide content more than an average iodide content of the grains, the tabular grains having dislocation lines in a central region and a peripheral region of the major faces, the peripheral region having a silver chalcogenide nucleus-containing phase, the central region having silver nucleus-containing phase, and the peripheral region having at least 10 dislocation lines per grain.

  • Patent number: 5402760
Abstract: A pilot injection amount QP, a main injection amount QM, and a lag TDF between the main and pilot injections are obtained (S130). The pilot injection initiating timing TTP, the pilot injection period TP, the main injection initiating timing TTM, and the main injection period TM are obtained on the basis of the pilot injection amount QP, the main injection amount QM, the fundamental injection initiating timing KT and the common rail pressure Pc (S150). The main injection period correction amount .DELTA.TQM and the injection initiating timing correction shift amount .DELTA.T are then obtained on the basis of the pilot injection period TP and the time lag TDF (S160). Finally, modified by these correction amount .DELTA.TQM and the shift amount .DELTA.T, the pilot injection initiating timing TTP', the main injection initiating timing TTM' and the main injection period TM' are obtained as final values (S170).

  • Patent number: 5277172
Abstract: A light source control device for an endoscope having a light source for emitting light to be incident on a light guide, a stop mechanism for varying the quantity of light to be incident on the light guide by interrupting an optical path of light, and a control device for controlling an opening of the stop mechanism. The stop mechanism includes a sensing device for sensing the opening of the stop mechanism and outputting a sensing signal to the control device. Further, the stop mechanism includes a shaft and a stop blade rotatably supported on the shaft and being disposed in the optical path such that the quantity of light passing thereby is varied by rotating the blade. The sensing device includes an arc-shaped plate fixed to the shaft and having a radius which varies in proportion to the change in arc angle, and a sensor having an opening for receiving the circumferential edge of the arc-shaped plate to sense the amount of light which passes through the opening.

  • Patent number: 5237403
Abstract: A condenser lens is provided between a light source and the incident end of an illumination light guide, and at least one pair of plane-parallel plates are disposed on the illumination light path at a position between the light source and the condenser lens in such a manner that the plates are in symmetry with each other with respect to the optical axis of the illumination light path. The plane-parallel plates are pivoted by a pivoting device about an axis of rotation which extends perpendicular to the optical axis of illumination light and parallel with the plane-parallel plates, thereby partially intercepting the illumination light path, and thus adjusting the quantity of light which is applied from the light source to the illumination light guide.

  • Patent number: 4816903
Abstract: A film checking apparatus which picks up images of two master films placed on two transparent film tables, displays the obtained images thereof on a color monitor thereby allowing for checking of the master films. The apparatus aids the film checking by providing a device for comparing the master films, detecting for the differences and finally displaying the differences in a blinking manner. The apparatus also provides two light sources and a means to switching between the two light sources depending on whether the object is of transmissive-type or reflective-type.
