Publication number: 20050268565Abstract: A vibration control apparatus is installed in a high-rise building. The vibration control apparatus 10 comprises an added mass member 20 having a predetermined mass, a column 22 for placing the added mass member 20 separated from the high-rise building, a vibration damping member 24 in contact with the column 22 and installation member 26. The natural frequency of the vibration control apparatus 10 is adapted to be substantially equal to the natural frequency of the high-rise building. At the time of earthquake, the vibration control apparatus and the high-rise building produce resonance, and the vibration energy of the column 22 is absorbed in the vibration damping member 24.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2005Publication date: December 8, 2005Inventor: Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 5985199Abstract: In a mold for molding a slide fastener slider, a first template has a first part of a cavity for molding a rear section of an outer contour of the slider body except an upper surface portion of an upper wing and also has a first core for molding a rear section of an element guide channel of the slider body; a second template which is movable toward and away from the first template has a second cavity part for molding a front section of the outer contour of the slider body and also has a second core for molding a front section of the element guide channel; and a third template which is slidable on the first and second templates has a third part of the cavity for molding a pull-tab attaching lug of the slider body and an outer contour of the upper surface portion/shape of the upper wing. For molding, these templates are brought together to form the cavity, and then molten molding material is poured into the cavity via a channel and a sprue.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1997Date of Patent: November 16, 1999Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Saburo Yukisawa, Tsutomu Tomita, Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 5568674Abstract: In a slide fastener slider, an attachment lug stands from a slider body and has a pair of support projections facing each other, defining a recess for receiving a pintle of a pull tab. The lug additionally has opposite reinforcing projections situated outside the respective support projections. For assembly, the support projections are bent toward the recess by pressing, and at the same time, the reinforcing projections are bent against the associated support projections to seal and hold the pintle of the pull tab. As the pintle of the pull tab is thus attached to the attachment lug reliably, the lug is adequately durable against any movement of the pull tab.Type: GrantFiled: November 29, 1995Date of Patent: October 29, 1996Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Jiro Harada, Tsutomu Tomita, Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 5329674Abstract: A slider with an automatic stop function for a linear slide fastener in which leg portions of the fastener elements are covered with blades and the like. A slider body comprises an upper wing and a lower wing which are interconnected by a guide post. A narrow linear rib is provided on the inner face of the upper wing to guide edges of blades for covering leg portions of fastener elements and to slide on the upper faces of the coupling head portion of the fastener elements. Pressure lands are provided at a lower height than the rib on both sides of the rib in the neighborhood of the guide post and slide along the blades being pressed against the fastener elements. A leaf spring with an automatic stop function is disposed on the surface of the upper wing so that the tip end thereof serves as stop claw. The stop claw is inserted into the middle portion of the linear rib and the pressure lands to stop the sliding of the slider automatically.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 1993Date of Patent: July 19, 1994Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventors: Tsutomu Tomita, Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 4980954Abstract: A slider for slide fasteners comprises a slider body, a pull tab for manipulating a slider and a cap-like yoke mounted on the slider body to pivotally join the pull tab to the slider body. The cap-like yoke inlcudes a pair of opposite side walls each having a pair of opposite front and rear legs having the respective engaging means. Teh slider body has a pair of front and rear studs on its upper surface at the front end and the rear end, respectively, the front and the rear studs including the respective pairs of opposite side walls having on their respective inner surface engaging projections engageable with the engaging means for mounting the cap-like yoke on the slider body, so that the pull tab is pivotally joined with the slider body.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1989Date of Patent: January 1, 1991Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventors: Hideo Takabatake, Tomonari Yoshida

Patent number: 4976016Abstract: A separable slide fastener comprises a pair of opposed stringers each carrying along one of their longitudinal edges a row of coupling elements in a meandering or zig-zag form, a slider movable reciprocably along the stringer to couple and uncouple the rows of elements thereon, and a bottom-end-stop assembly comprising a socket attached to the stringer, a socket pin integral with the socket and a guide pin attached to the other stringer. The guide pin has an opening in its thickened upper end for receiving a coupling head of a lowermost terminal element on the stringer and a pocket in the lower portion of the opening dimensioned to receive a lower hook portion of the terminal element coupling head with a tight fit.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1989Date of Patent: December 11, 1990Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventor: Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 4920616Abstract: A slider for use with a ladder-type slide fastener is disclosed which comprises a pair of opposed flanges and means of locking the slider in place against unintentional movement under the influence of a force tending to spread open the fastener. The locking means comprises a locking lug extending from either one of the flanges and adjacent first and second locking projections extending from either one of the flanges opposite to the locking lug, the first and second locking projections being spaced one element pitch apart such that the locking action is effected at either of the two projections in the event that the fastener coupling elements in one row are shifted out of the normal pitch relation to those in the other row.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1988Date of Patent: May 1, 1990Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventor: Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 4562622Abstract: A slide fastener slider comprises a slider body including a pair of upper and lower wings defining therebetween a Y-shaped guide channel, the lower wing having a pair of lateral flanges and a pair of corner ledges, each extending along an inner face of the respective flange through its length. The slider also has a pair of auxiliary ledges on the inner face of the lower wing adjacent to respective front ends of the flanges, each of the auxiliary ledges having a flat top surface disposed below the respective corner ledge for being engageable with the outer or lower leg portions of the respective fastener element row so as to prevent the coupling head portion of the individual fastener element from projecting into an aperture in the upper wing, through which aperture a fastener-element locking pawl is projectable, while the opposed rows of fastener elements are being coupled to close the slide fastener.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 1983Date of Patent: January 7, 1986Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventor: Hideo Takabatake

Patent number: 4123829Abstract: A pair of sliders to be arranged reversely to each other on a pair of fastener stringers so as to be padlocked together in abutting engagement with each other upon full closure of the fastener. Each slider has a forwardly projecting link portion formed on the front end of its body and having an eye formed transversely therethrough. On one of the side faces of the link portion there is formed a forwardly directed ledge extending radially or diametrically of the eye. Upon full closure of the fastener, the link portions of the two sliders interlock, with their opposed ledges in close contact with each other, to hold their eyes in axial alignment for the insertion of the padlock shackle. The link portion of each slider has its bottom end formed into a tongue which can be received in a groove formed in the body of the other slider.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 1977Date of Patent: November 7, 1978Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventor: Hideo Takabatake
