  • Patent number: 11955919
Abstract: An electric motor system includes a battery, an inverter, an electric motor, a zero-phase switching arm and a control unit. The inverter converts DC power output from the battery into three-phase AC power and outputs the three-phase AC power to the electric motor. A rotor of the electric motor rotates by the three-phase AC power output from the inverter. A neural point of the electric motor is connected to the zero-phase switching arm. A zero-phase current flowing through respective windings of the electric motor is adjusted by switching of the zero-phase switching arm. By this means, in the electric motor system, torque is generated at the rotor also using the zero-phase current as well as a three-phase AC current flowing through the respective windings.

  • Patent number: 8194300
Abstract: An optical scanner includes an inductor, an electric supply unit, an emitter, a mirror, a first receiving element, a second receiving element, and a measuring unit. The electric supply unit applies a supply voltage to the inductor alternately in opposite applying directions. The mirror reflects a laser beam to scan a photosensitive body within a scanning range. Each of the receiving elements is positioned at one end of the scanning range. The measuring unit measures the scanning time taken for the laser beam to be detected by the second receiving element after the beam is detected by the first receiving element. When the mirror scans the photosensitive body along a first primary scanning line after the mirror scans the body along a second primary scanning line, the electric supply unit varies the supply voltage according to the scanning time measured for the second primary scanning line.

  • Publication number: 20110180394
Abstract: There is provided a sputtering method in which abnormal discharging due to charge-up of a to-be-processed substrate is restrained and in which a good transparent conductive film can be formed on a to-be-processed large-area substrate. Out of a plurality of targets disposed side by side with, and at a predetermined distance from, one another so as to lie opposite to the to-be-processed substrate inside a sputtering chamber, electric power is applied, by alternately changing polarity at a predetermined frequency, to the targets that form respective pairs. Each target is thus alternately switched to anode electrode and cathode electrode. Glow discharge is thus generated between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode to thereby form plasma atmosphere, whereby each target is sputtered. During sputtering, electric power application to each of the targets is intermittently stopped.

  • Patent number: 7612790
Abstract: A heating head which functions as an erase head for quick operation can be turned off while not in use yet it can turn on when it is used (on-demand operation) and operates stably without over-heating even for the long operation, re-writable media record erasing equipment and erasing method. At least one strip of Heating Resistive Element is formed on one side (surface) of Head Substrate lengthwise. The Temperature Measurement Resistive Element is formed on the same side of the Head Substrate surface. The other side is facing the Heat Sink to hold the Head Substrate and the Thermal Resistive Layer is sandwiched. When the re-writable media record is erased, the media is moved across the erase head after the temperature of the temperature measurement resistive element reaches the predetermined level.
