  • Patent number: 5390997
Abstract: An end face sealing assembly device (S.sub.2) comprises a seal ring (15) having an approximately parallelogrammatic cross section so that an annular lip (15c) contacts a bushing end face (4a); a support ring (14) having an approximately L-shaped cross section formed by an axial direction side member (14a) and a radial direction side member (14b), the seal ring (15) being supported by the radial direction side member (14b); and a load ring (16) having an approximately trapezoidal cross section and formed of an elastic material for providing a back pressure to the seal ring (15). The external periphery of the load ring (16) is formed of an outer annular contact surface (16a), a convexly curved front peripheral surface (16b), a rear peripheral surface (16c, 16d), and an inner annular contact surface (16e, 16f).

  • Patent number: 5105180
Abstract: A light unit is combined with circuitry which monitors the charge level of a battery of the light unit or a video camera or camcorder connected to the light unit. With two lights of different wattages, three different constant loads can be applied while observing, in each case, LED indicators each deenergized at a certain voltage level, resulting in an accurate and reliable indication of charge level. The voltage levels are selectable in accordance with the type of battery being monitored and a bridge rectifier allows reversal of battery polarity.

  • Patent number: 4036721
Abstract: A method for coating a conductive material, which comprises applying an inorganic composition containing at least monobasic aluminum phosphate to the conductive material to form an inorganic coating layer and then applying thereto an electrodepositable composition by electrophoretic means to form an organic coating layer. The resulting composite coating layer produced by this method is characterized by possessing excellent properties, such as excellent inter-coat adhesion, excellent corrosion resistance, impact strength and flexibility.

  • Patent number: 4016205
Abstract: This invention relates to a process of resolving D and L-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) glycine. DL-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) glycine is treated with d-3-bromo-2-oxo-10-bornanesulfonic acid to form a mixture of d-3-bromo-2-oxo-10-bornanesulfonic acid salts of D- and L-2-(4-Hydroxyphenyl) glycine. This mixture is treated with a solvent selected from the group consisting of isobutyl alcohol, a mixture of a lower alkanol and chloroform, or a mixture of a lower alkanol and toluene. The precipitate containing the d-3-bromo-2-oxo-10 bornanesulfonic acid salt of L-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) glycine is collected. The corresponding acid salt of D-2-(hydroxyphenyl) glycine is collected from the mother liquor. D- and L-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) glycine are then recovered by conventional means.

  • Patent number: 3988231
Abstract: A method for coating a conductive material, which comprises applying an inorganic composition containing at least one silicic acid base material to the conductive material to form an inorganic coating layer and then applying thereto an electrodepositable composition by electrophoretic means to form an organic coating layer. The resulting composite coating layer produced by this method is characterized by possessing excellent properties, such as excellent inter-coat adhesion, excellent corrosion resistance, impact strength and flexibility.
