Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a display apparatus that is provided with a button that can be used by users of different native language-types with names that are registered as character strings in language-types displayable on the display apparatus. Accordingly, when a user switches language-types to be displayed, the button is displayed with a name as a character string in the switched language-type among the registered character strings, which allows users of different native language-types to understand the button name, thus enhancing the usability of the apparatus.

Abstract: A control method for controlling an information processing apparatus configured to display an operation screen including a plurality of keys on a display unit, and when any one of the plurality of keys is selected, to execute a process according to a process content registered in association with the selected key. The method includes setting, for each key of the plurality of keys, whether to cause the display unit to display a status of a process executed in response to selection of the selected key, and controlling the display unit to display the status of the process corresponding to the selected key if it is set to cause the display unit to display the status of the process executed in response to selection of the selected key when the key is selected, and to maintain display of the operation screen including the plurality of keys if it is not.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus which is capable of ensuring mutual security in cases where security information is displayed in a state in which an image displayed on a display is open to the outside. A display displays an operation screen of the apparatus. An input section receives an operation instruction to the apparatus, and a network interface receives an operation instruction to the apparatus from an external device. A control section determines whether an instruction for displaying an operation screen containing security information is received from the input section or via the network interface. When determining that the instruction is received via the network interface, the control unit cause screen data for displaying the operation screen to be transmitted to the external device, and the operation screen containing the security information to be prevented from being displayed on the display.
