  • Patent number: 4532523
Abstract: A tone control device in a thermal ink-transfer type printing apparatus comprising a thermal printing head having a plurality of head elements, where each of the plurality of head elements respectively comprise heating resistors for heating a transfer sheet adhered with a kind of ink which melts due to heat and transferring melted ink onto a recording sheet which makes contact with the transfer sheet to print images such as characters and figures, comprises a converting circuit for sampling an input analog signal indicating tone of density of an image to be printed on the recording sheet according to the number of the head elements, and converting the input analog signal into a digital signal, a memory for storing and reading out the output converted digital signal of the converting circuit, and a control circuit for controlling a duration with which a current having a predetermined value is applied to the head elements, with respect to each of the head elements, according to data of the digital signal read o

  • Patent number: 4527171
Abstract: In thermal ink transfer printing, a layer of thermally fusable binder is deposited on a recording sheet prior to the transfer print of thermally fusable ink from a transfer sheet to provide a strong bond between the underlying recording sheet and the overlying ink deposits. In one embodiment, layers of thermally fusable ink and binder material are deposited on the base of a common transfer sheet in alternate fashion. The binder layer is initially positioned above a thermal head and the latter is heated so that the binder is fused and transferred to the recording sheet. The recording sheet and transfer sheet are advanced together with respect to the head so that the recording sheet is entirely covered with a layer of the binder material. Thereafter, the binder-coated recording sheet comes into contact with the ink layer and the thermal head is controlled to heat portions of the ink layer for transfer to the binder-coated surface of the recording sheet.

  • Patent number: 4258390
Abstract: A video signal processing circuit in which sampling hold circuits are responsive to respective sampling pulses supplied simultaneously for sampling common input video signals and for holding values thus sampled until succeeding sampling pulses are introduced. A sampling pulse generation circuit supplies a plurality of sampling pulse trains, respectively, having pulses of a pulse width .tau. and a period T. These pulses of respective pulse trains are not overlapped mutually on a time axis. A circuit derives as output thereof maximum or minimum levels of outputs of the sampling hold circuits or for adding outputs of the sampling hold circuits and for producing an added signal as output.

  • Patent number: 3969764
Abstract: A color television camera comprises a camera tube for producing chrominance signals and a color-resolving striped filter disposed in front of the camera tube. A circuit derives first, second, and third primary color signals responsive to a direct wave signal produced as output from the camera tube and produces first and second modulated color signals. The color-resolving striped filter is made up of a plurality of groups of filter stripes, each group comprising filter stripes of a plurality of kinds extending parallel to the scanning direction of the electron beam of the camera tube. The stripes are arranged in a row, in a direction perpendicular to the scanning direction. Of these groups of stripes, only one part of the stripes (of at the most one kind) is a filter for transmitting additive color mixture light. Other parts are filters for transmitting only a suitable one primary color out of the three primary color lights or opaque parts.
