  • Publication number: 20040078670
Abstract: A communications processing section of a management apparatus sends a request for malfunction information via the Internet to one or more electrical devices being managed. A database manager of the management apparatus refers to data stored in a database and updates the record of the electrical device therein. A timing control section of the management apparatus carries out control so that the number of electrical devices requested upon by the management apparatus does not exceed a predetermined value. In this way, despite the management apparatus centrally manages the malfunction information of each electrical device, a peak quantity of the malfunction information received by the management apparatus can be suppressed and the workload on the management apparatus can be relieved, as opposed to the case where each electrical device sends the malfunction information at its own timing.

  • Publication number: 20040012900
Abstract: An information service system includes a display section (14), provided at a place where unspecified number of users each having a portable information device (1) can use the display section (14), for displaying image information; a transmitting/receiving section (17) for communicating with the portable information device (1); and a display control section (15) for causing the display section (14) to display image information supplied via the transmitting/receiving section (17) from the portable information device (1), in accordance with a request from the portable information device (1). This allows, for example, a personal computer (PC) user to work with a large display screen even in visiting places without being forced to use a PC with poor portability in visiting places.

  • Publication number: 20030190928
Abstract: The display system of the present invention includes: a body unit (1) for transmitting image data that has been generated; and a display device (2) for displaying an image in accordance with the image data that has been transmitted from the body unit (1), and said display system is characterized in that the body unit (1) and the display device (2) perform communications via radio communication means, and the body unit (1) and the display device (2) are separately providable. Thus, the radio transmission is used as communication means, and there is no cable, connecting the display device (2) and the body unit (1), that transfers the data signal, so that the device user can operate the system freely while watching the display device (2). As a result, it is possible to improve the workability of the user of the present display system.

  • Patent number: 5173815
Abstract: A recording position compensation circuit for use in the digital information recording-reproduction apparatus of the present disclosure has a microprocessor for generating an offset signal indicating a deviation between standard signal processing time, which is required for a process wherein digital medium information already recorded on the recording medium is reproduced through the advanced reproduction head and re-recorded on the recording medium through the recording head, and inter-head travelling time required for the recording medium to travel a distance from the advanced reproduction head to the recording head. A first counter generates a reference symbol pointer indicating a reference of a sequence whereby digital information stored in the memory is read out so that a part of the digital information is rewritten. A second counter generates a compensated symbol pointer having a phase difference corresponding to the deviation with respect to the reference symbol pointer.
