  • Publication number: 20020163585
Abstract: A surveillance camera system includes a photographing lens system, and a camera body to which the photographing lens system is detachably attached. The camera body includes a color imaging device on which an image formed by the photographing lens system is formed. The correcting of aberrations is carried out in a photographing lens system so that the difference between (1) the in-focus position at which the maximum MTF characteristic in the visible light wavelength range of about 400 nm to 700 nm is obtained and (ii) the in-focus position at which the maximum MTF characteristic in the near-infrared light wavelength range of about 700 nm to 1000 nm is obtained is less than 10&mgr;m.

  • Patent number: 5602682
Abstract: An aberration correcting plate for a compatible interchangeable lens which can be detachably attached to a first camera body having a large resultant thickness of filters provided in front of an image pickup device and to a second camera body having a small resultant thickness of filters provided in front of an image pickup device is mounted to a rear end of the compatible interchangeable lens when the rear end is mounted to the second camera body. The aberration correcting plate is made of a parallel-plate whose refractive index N is greater than 1.7 or a lens of negative power. The sum of the thicknesses of the aberration correcting plate and the filters provided in front of the image pickup device of the second camera body is substantially identical to or smaller than the total thickness of the filters provided in front of the image pickup device of the first camera body.
