  • Patent number: 6784605
Abstract: A halogen incandescent lamp comprises a light-transmitting envelope filled with a gas including a halogen gas and an inert gas. A pair of inner conductive wires is arranged in the envelope. A triple-coiled filament, which has a first coiling, a second coiling, and a third coiling having about 1.5 to about 4 turns, is re-crystallized, is arranged in the envelope, and is connected between ends of the inner conductive wires. The triple-coiled filament is held by a support member. The halogen incandescent lamp may be utilized to a lighting apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5675218
Abstract: An incandescent lamp has an envelope having a bulbous portion including a wall defining a space, a thin tube extending outwardly along a central axis of the bulbous portion so as to communicate with the space, and a sealed portion located on an opposite end of the bulbous portion from the thin tube. The wall has a slope inclined toward the thin tube. A filament is provided along the central axis of the bulbous portion. An optical interference layer is arranged on a surface of the wall for reflecting infrared rays toward the filament. A first lead wire has a first end portion fixed in the sealed portion of the envelope, a second end portion coupled to one end of the filament and an intermediate U-shaped portion inserted into the thin tube for regulating a position of the filament. A second lead wire has a first end portion fixed in the sealed portion of the envelope and a second end portion coupled to another end of the filament.

  • Patent number: 4912858
Abstract: Footwear comprises a sole consisting of upper and lower members (2, 3) bonded together. The upper member 2 has a plurality of holes 4 penetrating it. The lower member 3 has the top formed with grooves 5 each having a stem 6 communicating with each hole and an end 7 open on the side of the lower member. The top of the upper member communicates with the side of the lower member through ventilation holes 8 consisting of the holes 4 and grooves 5.

  • Patent number: 4525940
Abstract: A beach sandal of improved comfort and enhanced safety comprises a sole provided with a plurality of perforations whose openings in the upper and lower surfaces of the sole are displaced or whose middle portions are displaced from their outer portions. The perforations provide an escape for the water drag on the wearer's foot and consequently make wading through water easier. Because the perforations are not formed perpendicularly, when the wearer happens to step on a sharp object such as a shell, the possibility of the object sliding through one of the perforations and reaching the foot is remote.
