  • Patent number: 8437655
Abstract: Provided is an imaging unit, including: a developing unit having a developing roller and a first abutting member; a photosensitive unit having a photosensitive drum and a second abutting member, a gap between the photosensitive drum and the developing roller being set constant by bringing the first abutting member into abutting contact with the second abutting member; a cleaner configured to be disposed in a space between the first and the second abutting members in a separate state where the first abutting member is spaced away from the second abutting member; and a displacement unit configured to displace the cleaner from the space as the first abutting member is brought close to the second abutting member. In the displacement, the displacement unit causes the cleaner to slide on an abutting surface of at least one of the first and the second abutting members.

  • Patent number: 8224225
Abstract: A waste powder recovery container is detachably attached to an image forming apparatus, and further, is provided with a recovery port, through which waste powder discharged from a component part constituting a process unit is recovered, at one end in a longitudinal direction and an inclined surface on the container side, which is gradually inclined downward in a lateral direction and has the recovery port formed thereat. The inclined surface on the container side moves an opening/closing member disposed in a discharging portion formed at the component part constituting the process unit by pushing an inclined surface on a main body side formed at the opening/closing member, thereby opening a discharging port formed at the discharging portion, to discharge the waste powder and recover the waste powder through the recovery port.

  • Publication number: 20110064472
Abstract: There is provided a developing device capable of preventing a carrier from abrading a shaft section of an agitating conveyance member facing a sealing member and preventing toner leakage resulting from the abrasion. A sealing member 21 is for sealing a clearance between a housing 13 and a shaft section 141 of an agitating conveyance member 14. A magnet 22 forms a magnetic shield in a radial direction orthogonal to the shaft section 141 of the agitating conveyance member 14. The magnet 22 is placed on the inner side of the sealing member 21 inside the housing 13.
