  • Publication number: 20050268604
Abstract: A Stirling cycle engine of a simplified structure, having enhanced reliability by improving abrasion resistance and lubricity of components thereof. When a piston reciprocates in a cylinder along the axial direction thereof by a driving mechanism, a displacer reciprocates in the cylinder along the axial direction thereof accompanying the reciprocation of the piston. The piston and the displacer slide in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, but the piston and the displacer are each integrally made from an engineering plastic such as PPS having fine strength, dimensional stability, abrasion resistance and formability, while PPS is made CFRP. Moreover, solid lubricity agent is added to PPS. Accordingly, abrasion resistance, lubricity, strength and precision of the piston and displacer are enhanced, while the piston and the displacer can be simply produced by a well-known plastic molding.

  • Patent number: 6710476
Abstract: The invention provides an electromagnetic reciprocal drive mechanism having a movable part that is simple to manufacture, dimensionally stable and inexpensive. The device has; a permanent magnet cluster 3, and a spider 4 and retainer 5 that concentrically support the permanent magnet cluster 3, an outer laminated core 6 provided adjacent to the permanent magnet cluster 3, and an electromagnetic coil 8 wound around the outer laminated core 6. An adhesive paper sheet 13 having an adhesive layer 11 on an inner surface and which can be impregnated with an adhesive 12 is wrapped around an outer periphery of the permanent magnet cluster 3, the spider 4 and the retainer 5. The adhesive 12 is then impregnated into the adhesive paper sheet 13 and solidified. In the adhesive paper sheet 13 and the adhesive layer 11 is formed of a plurality of small holes.

  • Patent number: 6668862
Abstract: A fluid bearing mechanism using a one-way valve with such a simple structure that high processing accuracy is not required. A one-way valve 6 includes a valve base 7; an abutting portion 11 protruding inwardly, formed with a small communication hole 12 in a center thereof; a moveable element 8 which is moveable inside the valve base 7 in an axial direction; and a retaining body 9 for retaining the moveable element 8 between the abutting portion 11 and itself inside the valve base 7. The retaining body 9 includes ventilation grooves 8b, 9c for communicating an inside with an outside of the valve base 7. When the piston 2 is moved toward the compressing direction, the moveable element 8 is shifted toward the inside of the piston 2 due to the inner pressure of the cylinder 1 and its inertial force, thus opening the small communication hole 12.

  • Publication number: 20030111311
Abstract: A vibration absorbing unit comprises: a casing 1 having a piston 3 which reciprocates and vibrates, a first fixed member 5 and a second fixed member 7 provided substantially orthogonal to a vibration direction Y of the piston 3, one weight 8 provided between the fixed members 5 and 7 so as to be substantially coaxial with the center of vibration of the piston 3, and a coil spring mechanism 12 fitted substantially parallel with the direction Y for suspending the weight 8 between the members 5 and 7. These components are provided inside the casing 1. In accordance with the vibration of the reciprocating piston 3, the weight 8 suspended by the coil spring mechanism 12 resonates inside the casing 1 with the vibration of the piston 3, so that the vibration transmitted to the casing 1 can be absorbed, and also the casing 1 can be made small.

  • Patent number: 6389811
Abstract: A stirling cycle engine whose cylinder, including a mount, can be easily fabricated and securely attached. The stirling cycle engine of the invention comprises a casing having a cylindrical portion 2; a metallic cylinder 7 coaxially inserted into the cylindrical portion 2 of the casing 1; a piston 15 inserted into the cylinder 7; a drive mechanism 16 for reciprocally driving the piston 15; and a mount 28 which is attached to an outer periphery of the cylinder 7 for fixing the cylinder 7 to the casing 1 and retaining the drive mechanism 16. The mount 28 is made of a material of low heat conductance, constructed separately from the cylinder 7. The mount 28 is attached to the outer periphery of the cylinder 7. Thus, the easier working thereof is resulted, so that the working time is shortened, to thereby improve productivity, and reduce working costs. Further, The heat from the drive mechanism 16 is less likely to transfer to the cylinder 7 via the mount 28.
