  • Patent number: 7131164
Abstract: A suction nozzle for use in a vacuum cleaner includes a floor nozzle and a mini nozzle having a suction head, a rotatable joint, and joint, to be detachably secured in the floor nozzle. Either of the suction head and the rotatable joint or the rotatable joint and the joint is vertically joined and the other rotatably joined. Moreover, the suction head is unrotatably secured onto the floor nozzle, and forms an air communication with the floor nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6901624
Abstract: A self-moving cleaner has a main body and comprises an intake opening for suctioning dust, an electric blower for generating airflow to suction dust, a dust receiver for collecting the dust suctioned by the electric blower, rollers driven by drive motors, a power source for supplying electric power to the electric blower and the drive motors, and sensors for optically detecting a distance to an obstacle. An enclosure surrounds the main body, the electric blower, the dust receiver, the power source, and the sensors, wherein the enclosure is transparent or semi-transparent, and the sensors transmit and receive light through the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 5216777
Abstract: A control apparatus of an electrical appliance comprising a sensor for detecting a physical amount; and a fuzzy inferring device for determining the drive condition of a load by fuzzy inference based on a signal outputted from the sensor, and wherein the sensor has at least one normalized membership function to be used by fuzzy inference and achieves a plurality of membership functions which can be expressed by congruent curves by performing a predetermined subtraction or an addition on the signal outputted from the sensor.

  • Patent number: 4942640
Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner is disclosed, wherein input power for a motor blower contained in the body of the same can be controlled by switches (6), (7) provided to the handle of a hose. Input power for motor blower is automatically controlled in accordance with the amount of dust passing through suction air path. A switch (22) is provided which is capable of changing suction force temporarily in automatic operation mode by operation of the user, irrespective of the amount of dust.
