  • Publication number: 20090030346
Abstract: A swallowing movement measuring device is disclosed that has plural pressure sensors which are arranged in a line and supported in a vertical direction and a tool for wearing the pressure sensors and for fixing the pressure sensors to touch an anterior region of the neck of a subject. The tool for wearing the pressure sensors is provided with an urethane foam in which the pressure sensors are arranged and placed in line and supported along a direction of the up and down movement of thyroid cartilage when food is swallowed. A fixing tool of the pressure sensors supports the urethane foam and a holding band holds the fixing tools of the pressure sensors on the anterior region of neck of the subject.

  • Patent number: 7420723
Abstract: An optical deflector, a method of producing the optical deflector, an optical scanning device, and an image forming apparatus are disclosed that are able to save resources, provide high reliability at low cost, and enable stacked and relatively-offset polygon mirrors to be arranged precisely. The optical deflector includes a rotary member supported by a bearing with plural polygon mirrors fixed thereon. The polygon mirrors are stacked along a rotation axis of the rotary member, the polygon mirrors are relatively offset by a predetermined angle in a rotation plane of the rotary member, and an effective deflection area of each of the reflection surfaces of any one of the polygon mirrors is positioned away from a center of the corresponding reflection surfaces of the other one of the polygon mirrors in the direction of the rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 7382509
Abstract: Disclosed is a polygon mirror scanner device, used as a rotor, having a plurality of mirror faces on the outer peripheral face of a mirror member having a substantially tubular shape, with a tubular magnet adhered to the lower inner peripheral face of the mirror member. A depression is uniformly formed in the circumferential direction on the inner peripheral face, at a position opposite the mirror faces, such that a gap forms between the magnet and the inner peripheral face when the magnet is at a predetermined positioned. An adhesive agent is provided at the upper end and lower end of the magnet, but not in the gap. When the mirror faces are two-tiered, the upper end of the magnet is located at substantially an intermediate position in the height direction of the two-tier mirror faces.

  • Patent number: 5800676
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a mineral fiber panel which comprises uniformly dispersing in water 60 to 90% by weight of a mineral fiber, 2 to 19% by weight of an organic binder, 1 to 20% by weight of an inorganic microfiber, 0.5 to 3% by weight of a flocculant and 0.5 to 10% by weight of a thermally expansible resin fine particle which has a diameter after expansion of not less than 0.03 mm but less than 3.0 mm, the expansion degree of the above diameter being at least 3 times, and which has an expansion-starting temperature of 50.degree. to 105.degree. C., as the composition components, to prepare a slurry, and thereafter subjecting the slurry to wet forming and then to drying. The above production process enables the enhancement of productivity and the mineral fiber panel obtained by the above production process is light in weight and excellent in sound-absorbing qualities and fireproof properties.
