Patent number: 10480430Abstract: An intake pipe of an evaporated fuel processing device is provided with a throttle valve downstream of a supercharger, and an ejector in parallel to the supercharger. A purge passage is branched into first and second branch passages, which connect to the intake pipe at a position downstream of the throttle valve and to a suction port of the ejector, respectively. In the ejector, its intake port is connected to the intake pipe at a position between the supercharger and the throttle valve, and its exhaust port is connected to the intake pipe at a position upstream of the supercharger. A flow rate of purge gas in the second branch passage is obtained based on at least two of a first pressure downstream of the throttle valve, a second pressure between the supercharger and the throttle valve, and a third pressure upstream of the supercharger.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2017Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignees: AISAN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA, TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hidetoshi Tsutsumi, Tatsuhiko Akita, Yuusaku Nishimura

Patent number: 10273892Abstract: A fuel supply system for use with an internal combustion engine has a check valve and a purge valve disposed in a purge passage that extends from a canister to connect with an intake passage of the internal combustion engine. A controller regulates the purge valve open with a first opening degree or a first duty ratio during a purge operation. The controller may also regulate the purge valve to open with a second opening degree larger than the first opening degree or a second duty ratio larger than the first duty ratio a predetermined time after initiating the purge operation.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2015Date of Patent: April 30, 2019Assignees: AISAN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA, TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Ryuji Miyazaki, Hidetoshi Tsutsumi, Tomonori Nakatsuka, Kinji Morihiro, Koji Honda

Patent number: 9702321Abstract: A fuel supply system adapted to supply fuel to an internal combustion engine has both a check valve and a purge valve disposed in a purge passage that extends from a canister to connect with an intake passage of the internal combustion engine. A controller estimates a pressure within an intermediate purge passage of the purge passage located between the check valve and the purge valve without relying on the use of a separate pressure detection device to provide information regarding the same.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2015Date of Patent: July 11, 2017Assignees: AISAN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA, TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Ryuji Miyazaki, Hidetoshi Tsutsumi, Tomonori Nakatsuka, Kinji Morihiro, Koji Honda

Publication number: 20120312281Abstract: An evaporated fuel treatment apparatus is mounted in a vehicle having an engine, a fuel tank storing fuel for the engine, and a battery, the evaporated fuel treatment apparatus adsorbing evaporated fuel in the fuel tank on an adsorbent in a canister container, desorbing the evaporated fuel adsorbed on the adsorbent therefrom during engine running, and directing the evaporated fuel to an intake passage of the engine. The adsorbent in the canister is heated by heat generated by the battery.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 5, 2012Publication date: December 13, 2012Applicant: AISAN KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Hidetoshi TSUTSUMI, Yuji TAKASHIMA, Kensuke NAGAO

Patent number: 7690370Abstract: A fuel injection controller for an internal combustion engine. The engine includes a fuel vapor treatment device having a collector for collecting fuel vapor generating in a fuel tank; a purge line that introduces purge gas into an intake passage of the engine, the purge gas being a mixture of fuel vapor released from the collector and air; and a purge valve provided in the purge line to adjust flow rate of the purge gas. The fuel injection controller corrects an amount of fuel injected from an fuel injection valve based on an amount of fuel vapor contained in the purge gas flowing into a combustion chamber of the engine. The fuel injection controller comprises an estimation section for estimating the inflow amount of the purge gas flowing into the combustion chamber based on a passed amount of purge gas that has passed through the purge valve and a compensation value for compensating transportation delay.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2008Date of Patent: April 6, 2010Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Denso Corporation, Aisan Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Ryota Mino, Hirohiko Yamada, Hideki Teshima, Hidetoshi Tsutsumi
