Patent number: 12104698Abstract: A circular annular seal ring made from a resin is adapted to be disposed between an outer member and an inner member that rotate relative to each other. The seal ring is disposed in a circumferential groove of the outer member or the inner member to isolate a liquid space from an external space. The seal ring is formed from an elongated and arcuate rod to define a circle by joining ends of the rod, and has a junction formed from the ends. The seal ring has a radial thickness gradually decreasing from two points that are apart from the junction toward the junction. The points are separated from the junction by an angle of not less than 60 degrees and not more than 150 degrees about a central axis of the circle.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2020Date of Patent: October 1, 2024Assignee: NOK CORPORATIONInventors: Hideya Watanabe, Yusuke Yoshida

Patent number: 11320051Abstract: A recessed part formed on a side surface includes a dynamic pressure part extending in the circumferential direction to converge on the side surface, and an introduction part extending from the dynamic pressure to open the dynamic pressure part toward the inner periphery side. One or two inner peripheral wall parts are provided for each of the recessed parts. The inner peripheral wall part is a portion defined on the inner periphery side of the corresponding recessed part by the dynamic pressure part and the introduction part. The inner peripheral wall part includes an inner peripheral wall surface. The inner peripheral wall surface extends toward the introduction part in the circumferential direction with inclining with respect to the side surface such that the inner peripheral wall surface is depressed from the side surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2020Date of Patent: May 3, 2022Assignee: NOK CORPORATIONInventors: Masatoshi Seki, Hideya Watanabe

Patent number: 9388705Abstract: The sealing device includes: an outer peripheral ring 2000 that is in contact with a side wall surface of an annular groove 4100 at a low pressure side (L), and slides with respect to an inner peripheral surface of a shaft hole in a housing 5000 through which a shaft 4000 is inserted. An inner peripheral ring 3000 made of a rubber-like elastic body that is in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral ring 2000 and a groove bottom surface of the annular groove 4100, respectively. The outer peripheral ring 2000 is formed on its outer peripheral surface with a concave portion 2220 which extends from an end of a high pressure side (H) to a position which does not arrive at an end of a low pressure side, so as to introduce fluid thereinto from the high pressure side.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2013Date of Patent: July 12, 2016Assignee: NOK CORPORATIONInventors: Kazunari Seki, Koji Watanabe, Wataru Tokunaga, Yuki Takao, Fangman Xu, Hirotaka Mizuta, Keisuke Nakashima, Takuya Igawa, Yusuke Yoshida, Hideya Watanabe, Yosuke Kondo

Patent number: 9303767Abstract: A seal ring 100 is configured by the combination of a first divided body 100A on a high pressure side and a second divided body 100B on a low pressure side with respect to an axis direction. The seal ring that stabilizes sealing performance while reducing rotary torque and including a recessed section 140 provided centrally in a width direction and extending in a circumferential direction and a pair of raised sections 150 provided on both sides of the recessed section 140. A through hole 141 a is provided so as to lead to a bottom surface of the recessed section 140 from an inner peripheral surface side and allows a sealed fluid to be introduced into the recessed section 140 from the inner peripheral surface side.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2015Date of Patent: April 5, 2016Assignee: NOK CORPORATIONInventor: Hideya Watanabe

Publication number: 20050116426Abstract: A seal ring for sealing an annular clearance between two members which are disposed for free rotations relative to each other. At a cut portion which is cut at a portion of the seal ring, there is formed a passage for allowing leakage when the cut end portions engage with each other. This passage is given a sectional shape of square or the like. This passage improves an abrasion resistance.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2003Publication date: June 2, 2005Inventors: Hideya Watanabe, Shinya Nakaoka, Yasuaki Tanabe, Nobuyuki Eguchi
