    Abstract: During braking of a kick skater, the danger of falling rearward is thoroughly eliminated. The kick skater includes a front wheel 15 capable of being manually braked, rear wheels 16 and 17, and lever units 35-39 capable of vertically tilting. When the front wheel 15 is raised to a predetermined height h from the ground, a ground contact part 39 comes into contact with the ground behind an axle 29 of each of the rear wheels 16 and 17 so as to tilt the lever units 35-39, bringing the front end of a lever member 35 into contact with each of the rear wheels 16 and 17.

    Abstract: A new skater with a brake is provided with a device for generating a warning signal such as an alarm sound. A skater with a brake includes: a brake plate that extends above a wheel while being supported so as to swing in a vertical direction, the brake plate being brought into sliding contact with the outer surface of the wheel so as to brake the wheel; a driven roller that rotates in contact with the wheel in synchronization with a swing of the brake plate; and a bell that generates a warning signal in response to the rotation of the driven roller. The swing of the brake plate brings the driven roller into contact with the wheel so as to generate the warning signal from the bell, and the brake plate comes into sliding contact with the outer surface of the wheel so as to brake the wheel.

    Abstract: A body 11 that constitutes a skateboard is formed into a U shape with bases of a pair of plate-like legs 14, 15 being integrated, and end portions 17, 18 of the legs 14, 15 are relatively displaceable in a thickness direction by elasticity of the body 11. The end portions 17, 18 of the legs 14, 15 are coupled by a coupling member 19. One wheel 12 is provided on a lower surface of an integral portion 16 at the base ends, and the other wheel 13 is provided on a lower surface of the coupling member 19. The step board 41 is placed between the end portions 17, 18 of the legs 14, 15, and has contact portions 46, 53 that come into contact with the legs 14, 15 by following displacement of the end portions 17, 18 of the legs 14, 15 in the thickness direction.

    Abstract: The vehicle detention device disclosed includes a pair of stopper blocks, a locking means, a pair of chains and a cover unit. One stopper block is fixed to a guide shaft and the other stopper block can be movably displaced to accommodate the size of the object tire. Locking means prevents movable stopper block from being displaced away from contact with object tire maintaining stopper block contact with object tire on either side of tire at ground contact point thus preventing rotation. A pair of chains is used to fasten object wheel to detention device when stopper blocks are placed in the engaged position. Key operated cover unit conceals access to mechanical components needed to release the detention device from the fastened condition thus preventing unauthorized removal of the device from the restrained vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicle detention device provides a pair of stopper blocks, where one of the stopper blocks moves on a guide shaft relative to the other stopper block secured to the guide shaft. A locking device is provided in order to prevent the movable stopper block from shifting away from a tire so that both the stationary and movable stopper blocks remain in contact with the tire at both sides of ground contact point to prevent rotation of the wheel with the tire mounted thereon. Using a pair of chains, the wheel is secured and placed under detention with the stopper blocks closely held in contact with the tire. Since the mechanical components necessary for releasing the tire and wheel are fully concealed by a key-actuated cover unit, no one can readily remove the vehicle detention device from the restrained vehicle without operating a proper key, thus securely detaining the vehicle.
