    Abstract: A computer provided with a routing information collecting unit which collects the dynamic routing information flowing in the network. The collected routing information is set in the routing table as static routing information by a setting unit. The routing unit performs the routing referring to the routing table. Further, it is possible to provide an information collection timing determining unit or an information collection completion determining unit so as to determine the timing of the collection of the routing information or the completion of the collection of the information. Further, it is possible to provide an optimum route discriminating unit and a default generating unit to determine the optimum gateway and to generate the default routing information. By this, static routing information can be set automatically without human intervention and flexibly.
