  • Publication number: 20040200059
Abstract: In order to maximally reduce a space necessary for a terminal crimping apparatus to improve operability and maintenance readiness, terminal reels 422 and applicators 421 are arranged in such inclined states that terminals can be fed in a direction oblique to a wire conveyance path PH. A wire is fed to the applicators 421 by wire clamping units. Each wire clamping unit is so constructed as to switch the position thereof between a pressing position in which the end of the wire can be connected with a terminal and a normal position in which the end of the wire can be transferred to and from the remaining units.

  • Patent number: 5727602
Abstract: A wire guiding device 20 can be used in a machine for measuring and cutting a wire, and is adapted to curve the wire being fed substantially in U-shape during the measurement of the wire. The wire guiding device 20 includes a fixed guide block 21 and a movable guide block 22 rotatable with respect to the fixed guide block 21. The movable guide block 22 is rotated by a cylinder 51 so as to be displaceable between an engaging position where it is engaged with the fixed guide block 21 and a retracted position which is reached by its upward rotation from the engaging position. Since the movable guide block 22 is rotatable upward, i.e. in a direction under an angle, in particular normal to a feed direction of the wire, the wire can be fed at a high speed, realizing a faster measuring operation. This results in the rationalization of the manufacturing of wiring harnesses.

  • Patent number: 4983097
Abstract: A tray stacking apparatus includes a pawl having a projection piece, a roller for opening the pawl, a roller for returning the pawl, and an urging device for urging the pawl into an open position or a closed position. The pawl is opened during its descent, and is returned to its original closed position at a bottom limit position. The tray stacking operation is effected by one driving operation without the pawl rubbing against the tray and thus, powder is not produced by a rubbing of the pawl against the tray so that a clean working environment may be maintained.
