  • Patent number: 6473785
Abstract: The invention provides an operation right interlinking method and a cooperative working method wherein, when a plurality of shared application programs operate cooperatively with each other to effect a cooperative work, operation rights of the shared application programs are always possessed by a same terminal so that a work can be performed efficiently without an inconsistency. To this end, the operation rights of the shared application programs are controlled in an interlinking relationship with each other. When a request for an operation right is issued to a first application program of a first terminal, the first application program requests a first application program of a second terminal for transmission of the operation right and sends an operation right change notification to a second application program of the first terminal whose operation right is to be interlinked with the first application program.

  • Patent number: 6282543
Abstract: A push type information providing service on the Internet. When information arranged on a time axis and retrieved is output time to time, the information is output/displayed in sequence on the time axis along a scenario described with position information of a plurality of data stored in databases distributed on the network. In displaying the position information of the data, secondary information such as advertisement, etc., is inserted onto the time axis of the position information of the retrieved main information along the described scenario. Main information sequence control information for controlling an output/display sequence of the main information and secondary information sequence control information are provided separately and the secondary information is inserted into the main information on the basis of the presenting frequency control information and output/displayed. Thus, it is possible to freely insert/output the secondary information such as advertisement information.

  • Patent number: 5914940
Abstract: In a multipoint video conference controlling system which is supplied with video packets and audio packets from conference terminals, multiplexes the video packets to produce a composite video packet, and mixes the audio packets to produce a mixed audio packet, a sequence number collating device collates the sequence numbers of the video packets and the audio packets to produce a coincidence signal when the sequence numbers of the video packets and the audio packets coincide with each other. Video and audio transmitting devices transmit synchronously the composite video packet and the mixed audio packet in response to the coincidence signal. The multipoint video conference controlling system may comprise video and audio sequence number processing devices which add one of sequence numbers to the composite packet and the mixed audio packet when the video packets and the audio packets have the sequence numbers.

  • Patent number: 5812185
Abstract: In a video teleconferencing system, line interfaces are connected to communication channels for receiving data-compressed integrated frame format signals from a video teleconferencing apparatus. Each of the integrated frame format signals contains the respective video frames of user terminals. Data decompression decoders are respectively connected to the interfaces for decompressing the data-compressed integrated frame format signals to produce data-decompressed integrated frame format signals. A controller, connected to the interfaces, receives control signals from the channels and produces an address signal. Extraction circuits are respectively connected to the decoders for extracting desired video frames from each of the data-decompressed integrated frame format signals in accordance with the address signal. The output signals of the extraction circuits are integrated by a video integrator and data-compressed by an encoder for transmission via the interface.

  • Patent number: 4839891
Abstract: A data packet transmitted from a source data terminal is received by a destination data terminal and stored into a receive buffer from which it is withdrawn at a rate which may differ from the rate of transmission of packets from the source terminal. The destination terminal returns an acknowledgment packet in response to each data packet being withdrawn from the receive buffer. The acknowledging packet includes a flow control variable which is incremented by a unit value in response to the data packet being withdrawn from the receive buffer. The source terminal transmits one or more data packets having sequence numbers the largest of which is determined by a maximum number of outstanding data packets awaiting receipt of the acknowledging packet by the source data terminal and the flow control variable contained in the acknowledging packet.
