  • Publication number: 20010042287
Abstract: Production method for granulated materials with a desirable particle size distribution, comprises sampling step of sampling diffracted and/or scattered light data obtained by applying beam light on the growing particles under granulation as the measured data at fixed time intervals, analyzing step of analyzing particle size distribution data of the growing particles by performing a particular arithmetic operation on the measured data, and controlling step of controlling a particle growing factor so as to conform the analyzed particle size distribution data to the corresponding objective particle size distribution data which are previously prepared in time series order according to the granulation procedure to be executed each time of comparison of the particle size distribution data analyzed from the measured data with the corresponding objective particle size distribution data.

  • Patent number: 6155096
Abstract: A light transmission powder and granular material measuring apparatus for a continuous production line assembly is provided. A conduit line is capable of being connected to the production line to provide an alternative flow path for the powder and/or granular material. A light transmission cell is mounted in the conduit and a measurement apparatus is provided for measuring the light as it passes through the light transmission cell. A valve member can interconnect the conduit to the production line to control the flow of powder and/or granular material, whereby a measurement can be made when the valve is activated to permit the flow of powder and/or granular material to provide an accurate measurement, and also a measurement can be made as a reference measurement during a calibration cycle when the valve is activated to stop the flow of powder and/or granular material.

  • Patent number: 5901015
Abstract: A magnetic head apparatus has a reduced thickness by preventing a jumping action of a magnetic head that can occur in a head-up state. A leaf spring has a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, and the leaf spring supporting the magnetic head at the first end, the leaf spring having a surface facing the magnetic medium. A mount member holds the leaf spring, the leaf spring being mounted to the mount member at the second end. A supporting portion extends from the mount member, and engages the surface of the leaf spring at a position between the magnetic head and the mount member.

  • Patent number: 5383076
Abstract: A magnetic head has a sliding surface including a sliding portion for sliding on a magnetic recording medium. A head holder has a head holding portion for holding the magnetic head, and at least one guiding portion located in a side of and far apart from the magnetic head fixed on the holding portion. The guiding portion guides a running course of the magnetic recording medium, and the head holding portion and guiding portion are integral with the head holder. A cleaning device is provided with the head holder so as to be pivotable, and when the cleaning device is pivoted it slides so as to clean the sliding surface of the magnetic head.
