Publication number: 20240118288Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a comprehensive biomarker for artery lesions, and diabetes mellitus, heart disease, cerebrovascular disorder, cancer, kidney disease, etc., whose onset and progress can be suppressed by health care such as early diagnosis. The inventors have found that the object can be attained by determining the level of an antibody to protein KIAA0513 or a portion of the protein, the antibody being potentially present in a body fluid sample collected from a living body; and acquiring data showing a rise in the antibody level as data showing the presence of an artery lesion or the potential or actual presence of cerebrovascular or cardiovascular disorder, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, or a solid cancer.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2021Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicants: FUJIKURA KASEI CO., LTD., NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CORPORATION CHIBA UNIVERSITYInventors: Hideyuki KURODA, Rika NAKAMURA, Go TOMIYOSHI, Takaki HIWASA

Patent number: 11782061Abstract: The present inventors have surprisingly found that a deoxyhypusine synthase (DHPS) gene, which was previously reported to correlate with prostate cancer and cervical cancer, is highly responsive to arteriosclerosis or digestive system cancer, whereby the gene can be used as a desired marker for arteriosclerosis or digestive system cancer. The present invention has been accomplished on the basis of this finding. Specifically, the present invention provides a method for determining arteriosclerosis or digestive system cancer, which method includes detecting expression of a deoxyhypusine synthase gene in a test sample (preferably a blood sample), and determining arteriosclerosis or digestive system cancer of a test subject from which the test sample has been obtained, on the basis of an increase in the gene expression as an index.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2015Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignees: FUJIKURA KASEI CO., LTD., National University Corporation Chiba UniversityInventors: Rika Nakamura, Hideyuki Kuroda, Go Tomiyoshi, Takaki Hiwasa, Masaki Takiguchi, Naokatsu Saeki

Patent number: 5709053Abstract: A panel for constituting sound insulating wall is provided with a front plate, a rear plate, and a sound absorbing member put between the plates. The sound absorbing member contains reduced plastic products coated with magnetic material such as magnetic tape and magnetic sheet. The front plate is provided on the sound source side and constituted of a plate having numerous holes. The sound absorbing member is composed of a permeable bag and the reduced plastic products in the bag so that the bulk specific gravity and permeation resistance can be 0.05-0.4 and 3-90 dyn.S/cm.sup.4, respectively. The reduced plastic products may be reduced plastic products alone not subjected to other processings, or may be a mixture of reduced plastic products and molded bodies of reduced plastic products. Alternatively, only molded bodies of reduced plastic products can be put in the permeable bag.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1996Date of Patent: January 20, 1998Assignee: Zeon Kasei Co., LtdInventor: Hideyuki Kuroda
