  • Patent number: 11555655
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes: a gas-refrigerant pipe; a header connected to the gas-refrigerant pipe; and heat transfer tubes connected to the header. The header includes: a first plate member; and a second plate member that is stacked on the first plate member in a plate-thickness direction. The first plate member includes a first opening that constitutes an internal space of the header. The second plate member includes a second opening that, together with the first opening, constitutes the internal space of the header. The internal space of the header communicates with the heat transfer tubes. A first direction is perpendicular to both the plate-thickness direction and a direction in which the heat transfer tubes are arranged. A width of a part of the first opening in the first direction is different from a width of the second opening in the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20220099374
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes: heat transfer tubes disposed along a predetermined direction; and a header that retains longitudinal ends of the heat transfer tubes. The header includes: a first member including a main wall portion that has through holes through which the longitudinal ends respectively pass; a second member defining insertion spaces that communicate with the heat transfer tubes at the longitudinal ends; and a third member facing the longitudinal ends. The second member includes: a pair of side plates disposed in a width direction of the header and that define the insertion spaces therebetween; and a partition plate connected to the pair of side plates and that separates adjacent ones of the insertion spaces.

  • Publication number: 20210254897
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes: rows of heat transfer tubes disposed next to one another in an air flow direction; and headers each connected to an end of each of the rows of heat transfer tubes. A center position of an upstream-most header disposed on a most upstream side in the air flow direction among the headers is displaced upstream in the air flow direction from a center position of an upstream-most row of the heat transfer tubes to which the upstream-most header is connected such that the upstream-most header is spaced apart from a row of the heat transfer tubes adjacent to the upstream-most row of the heat transfer tubes.

  • Publication number: 20210003350
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes: heat transfer units that each comprise heat transfer channel portions and auxiliary heat transfer portions. The heat transfer channel portions and the auxiliary heat transfer portions extend in a first direction and are disposed in a second direction that intersects with or is perpendicular to the first direction. The heat transfer units are disposed in a third direction that is different from both of the first direction and the second direction. The heat transfer units each has an airflow-upstream region and an airflow-downstream region in the second direction. When the heat exchanger is used as an evaporator, the heat exchanger causes a refrigerant to flow into a heat transfer channel portion disposed in the airflow-upstream region, and then causes the refrigerant to flow out to a heat transfer channel portion disposed in the airflow-downstream region.

  • Publication number: 20200011607
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a heat-transfer-tube unit and a header. The heat-transfer-tube unit includes a fin and heat transfer tubes. The header is connected to the heat-transfer-tube unit. The fin and the heat transfer tubes are disposed, alternately, side by side, where the heat transfer tubes extend in a heat-transfer-tube-extending direction. The fin has sides that extend in the heat-transfer-tube-extending direction and that are joined to the heat transfer tubes. An end of the fin is disposed closer to a center of the heat-transfer-tube unit in the heat-transfer-tube-extending direction than ends of the heat transfer tubes, and the ends of the heat transfer tubes are inserted into holes disposed on the header.
