It preferably further contains silicic anhydride. A process to manufacture a Kampo medicinal extract-containing tablet composition by the step of adding silicic anhydride and water to a Kampo medicinal extract powder, stirring and granulating the mixture, and the step of mixing the granulated substance with cellulose glycolate and sodium hydrogen carbonate. The Kampo medicinal extract-containing tablet composition can be satisfactorily disintegrated and dissolved and a process for manufacturing the same, by formulating specific compounds to a Kampo medicinal extract powder.
