  • Patent number: 5615551
Abstract: In a vehicle, a floor has a lower side face. A tubular shell is disposed beneath the lower side face of the floor. The tubular shell defines an exhaust path and receives a catalyst module. An oxygen sensor includes a sensing element, a holder supporting the sensing element, and a protector covering the sensing element. The sensing element, holder and protector cooperate to define a space communicating with the exhaust path. The protector has a drain hole which is so disposed as to discharge water out of the space owing to gravity.

  • Patent number: 5509181
Abstract: An attachment fitting in which several sets of ball chains can be arranged and the attachment is possible over the entire length of the attachment fitting main body. Also, the strength of the main body is improved.A tubular main body has an opening on one end and can be closed on the other end. A slit is provided in the vicinity of the other end through the opening. A connecting member is provided and extends in the longitudinal direction of the main body which is symmetrical to the slit of the main body. Several protruding pieces are formed and jut out from the circumference of the closure so that the aforementioned opening can be shut. The end of ball of several sets of ball chains is fitted into the main body. A connecting rod of ball chain goes through slit. The attachment is closed through the opening by shutting the closure.

  • Patent number: 5499432
Abstract: A fastening device for fastening a web-like material to a bag or like garment article comprises a connecting member, a link rotatable relative thereto, a cylindrical retaining member fitted rotatably over the connecting member and having a retaining bar, and a hook member having a J-shaped hook. A retaining pin member is adapted to interconnect the connecting member, the retaining member and the hook member and is resiliently releasable from the retaining member to permit the latter to rotate so that the retaining bar moves out of registration with the J-shaped hook.

  • Patent number: 5438736
Abstract: A swivel hook comprises a hook body including a proximal part having an aperture formed at its upper end to define a pair of overhangs and a substantially J-shaped hook portion extending downward from the proximal part, an annular link having an connecting axle provided on one side thereof, the connecting axle having an enlarged head formed on its distal end, the enlarged head being inserted into the aperture into engagement with the overhangs; a locking member having a pair of opposing side walls defining therebetween a chamber; and biasing means mounted in the chamber. The proximal part of the hook body is pivotally mounted on the locking member within the chamber with the aperture closed by the opposing side walls and with the biasing means acting between the proximal part and the locking member for normally urging the locking member into engagement with the J-shaped hook portion.

  • Patent number: 5398389
Abstract: A swivel hook comprises a hook body including a housing body having a housing chamber which has a opening facing toward a side thereof and a pair of overhangs formed in opposed inner surfaces of the housing chamber, a hook proper provided on the housing body, a latch member mounted on the housing body and being movable into or out of engagement with the hook proper and biasing means mounted on the housing body for normally biasing the latch member causing it to come into engagement with the hook proper; an annular link having a connecting axle provided on one side thereof, the connecting axle having an enlarged head formed on its distal end, the connecting axle rotatably mounted in the housing chamber through the opening with the enlarged head engaging the overhangs; and a plug member closing the opening, thus confining the enlarged head in the housing chamber so that the connecting ring is pivotally and retentively mounted on the hook body.

  • Patent number: 4928358
Abstract: A pull tab for slide fastener sliders includes a soft elastic grip mound provided on the grip portion of a pull tab body and projecting from one of front and rear surfaces of the pull tab body. The grip mound has a roughened outer surface to increase the resistance to slip and is elastically deformable to fit the shape of the user's finger when the grip portion is gripped. With the grip mound thus provided, the pull tab can be gripped stably and reliably by the user's fingers, which ensures a smooth opening and closing operation of a slide fastener.
