Patent number: 12060115Abstract: On the opposite side to an output of a rotation shaft of an electric motor, a ventilation hole communicating between an electronic control unit (ECU) housing space and an electric motor housing space is formed to an end surface wall of a motor housing separating the respective housing spaces. The ventilation hole has a waterproof ventilation part that suppresses water passing but permits the passage of air and water vapor. This structure eliminated the influence of flying rocks and muddy water from the external environment, and suppresses for a long period of time the internal pressure fluctuation of the ECU housing space and the penetration of water into the housing space. Therefore, the internal pressure fluctuation of the housing space for the ECU and the penetration of water into the housing space for the ECU can be suppressed over a long period of time.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2019Date of Patent: August 13, 2024Assignee: HITACHI ASTEMO, LTD.Inventors: Kazuhiko Nakano, Takuro Kanazawa, Hideyuki Hara

Patent number: 6953265Abstract: A light source device has a light shielding member having an aperture, a light source arranged on one side of the light shielding member, and a converging member arranged relatively with respect to the light source and the light source to thereby converge light emitted from the light source in the aperture or in a vicinity of the aperture. Another type of light source device has a single light source, and a converging member for converging light from the light source to thereby distribute the light to at least two points. Still another type of light source device has a light source, and a reflecting mirror arranged to enclose a side of a light emission direction of the light source, the reflecting mirror reflecting light emitted from the light source in a direction except the light source so that the light is radiated outside.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2003Date of Patent: October 11, 2005Assignee: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoshinobu Suehiro, Yuji Takahashi, Takemasa Yasukawa, Hideaki Kato, Hideki Omoya, Hideyuki Nakano, Hisao Yamaguchi

Patent number: 6900587Abstract: In an LED, when electric power is supplied to a blue light-emitting element through a pair of leads, light is emitted upward from an upper surface of the blue light-emitting element and, at the same time, light is radiated from side and lower surfaces of the blue light-emitting element so that a fluorescent substance is irradiated with the light. The latter light is reflected by a front surface of the fluorescent substance or by a concave reflecting mirror serving as a highly reflective material, so that the reflected light is radiated upward as excitation light (fluorescence) or as irradiation light. Because a radiating surface of a convex lens is formed above the concave reflecting mirror, the excitation light and irradiation light emitted thus are condensed by the convex lens and radiated externally with high external radiation efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2002Date of Patent: May 31, 2005Assignee: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yoshinobu Suehiro, Hideyuki Nakano
