  • Patent number: 9625212
Abstract: In a heating furnace 10 where elongate workpieces fed into the heating furnace are sequentially transferred on fixed beams by walking beams from an inlet area to an outlet area, concaves to retain the workpieces are formed at least on the walking beams. A concave in the inlet area for heating the workpieces is increased in width in a transfer direction, while a concave in the outlet area where the heated workpieces are wholly heated to a uniform temperature and retained in position is formed in a corrugated configuration. Despite curving of an elongate workpiece being heat treated as transferred by walking beams in a direction crossing a longitudinal direction of the workpiece, this ensures that the curved workpiece is properly transferred and adequately corrected for the curving.

  • Patent number: 8654249
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a resolution determining section that determines, for a selected combination of an input terminal and an output terminal, an input set resolution set for an input terminal to be a processing resolution, when an output set resolution of an output terminal is set to “Source”; and ignores the input set resolution set for the input terminal and determines the output set resolution set for the output terminal to be a processing resolution, when the output set resolution of the output terminal is set to other than “Source”.

  • Patent number: 8412801
Abstract: Each of servers in a global list server system includes a local list of music piece data stored by the each server and a global list of the music piece data stored by the servers. A client requests an arbitrary server to provide the global list and the server transmits the global list to the client upon receiving the request. The client refers to the global list and requests a server storing desired music piece data to transfer the music piece data. The server transmits music piece data to the client upon receiving the transfer request for the music piece data.

  • Publication number: 20120212442
Abstract: In a device for transmitting information to a living being, an information related to a display is transmitted to a tactile sense of the living being touching a shape-memory alloy arranged on a display panel, by motion of expansion and contraction of the shape-memory alloy, without obstructing the visibility of the display panel. The device includes a transparent sheet-like tactile perceptual unit, arranged on the display panel, and a signal generating unit, which generates a signal voltage for driving the tactile perceptual unit. The signal generating unit and the display panel are connected to the control unit. The shape-memory alloy attached to the tactile perceptual unit transmits the information to the living being by contracting the shape-memory alloy in response to an application of a signal voltage, with relation to the display of the display panel.

  • Patent number: 8184958
Abstract: An audio-video player, which automatically determines an event corresponding to the current state and displays a preferred message associated with the event, is provided. A DVD player includes: a massage table which stores prescribed messages in advance by associating them with a plurality of events having prescribed priorities; an event determination unit which sequentially determines whether the current state corresponds to an event, starting from an event of higher priority; and a message display control unit which reads out, when the event determination unit found the corresponding event, a prescribed message associated with the corresponding event from a message table and displays it.

  • Patent number: 7292157
Abstract: A remote control system includes a computer and a receiver, and allows the user to control the operation of a computer program installed in the computer. The receiver receives an infrared ray signal transmitted from a remote controller and decodes the signal to a remote code. The remote code is transmitted to the computer. The computer registers the remote code in a registration table in association with the operation of the computer program selected by the user. The computer executes the operation of the computer program corresponding to the registered remote code when the receiver receives the signal for the registered remote code.
