  • Patent number: 11965556
Abstract: A method for measuring indentation resistance includes: obtaining a first curve indicating a yield shear stress in a depth direction of a raceway surface of a material forming a rolling bearing in a state before the raceway surface is subjected to machining, a second curve indicating a static shear stress in the depth direction of the raceway surface in a state in which the raceway surface is subjected to the machining, and a third curve indicating a static shear stress in the depth direction of the raceway surface in a state in which rolling elements are in contact with the raceway surface and a static load is applied to the raceway surface; and obtaining a correlation between an area and an indentation depth of the raceway ring by defining a region surrounded by exceeding the first curve and the second curve and falling below the third curve as the area.

  • Publication number: 20100073012
Abstract: According to the present invention, a method of detecting water leakage in a coil, which determines whether or not cooling water leaks into an insulation layer, the water being supplied to a conductor of a coil covered with the insulation layer, including: applying an AC voltage to the conductor; bringing a surface electrode device into pressure contact with the insulation layer; grounding the surface electrode device through an impedance; measuring a potential of the surface electrode device; and determining that the cooling water leaks from the conductor into the insulation layer when a measured potential is higher than a potential of a normal coil

  • Patent number: 5978544
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a video compression coding apparatus which, in the case where a code quantity variation allows a greater margin, can compress video data while suppressing any degradation of a video quality. First, input video data, after being transformed by a DCT section to a DCT coefficient, is quantized, by a quantizing section, with a quantization level designated with quantization control data. This quantized data is input to a variable length coding section where it is compression-coded in a block unit corresponding to a field or frame. A code quantity detecting section detects a code quantity of this coded data and delivers a result of detection to a quantization control section. The quantization control section has a given coding quantity-quantization level control characteristic representing a relation, to the quantization level, of the code quantity which obtains an average code quantity of initially input video data.

  • Patent number: 5969531
Abstract: The inspection apparatus for inspecting performance of a structure such as stator windings of an electric rotating machine of the invention comprises a probe including a measuring element, an arm unit and a cylinder face circumferential moving apparatus. The arm unit has an arm link section supporting the probe (mainly comprising a leading end link assembly and an arm posture keeping mechanism), an arm housing section (mainly comprising a guide rail) regarding driving of this arm link section, and an arm driving mechanism. The arm driving mechanism causes the leading end link assembly to project from the guide rail at an angle toward a measuring position side of the stator windings relative to the axial direction of the rotor unit, while causing the arm link section to travel along the guide rail. The arm posture keeping mechanism is provided with a link wire and a spring, and maintains a straight arm posture of the leading end link assembly after projection from the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 5682102
Abstract: An electric rotating machine comprises a rotor body of cylindrical structure and a stator body covering an outer peripheral portion of the rotor body in a non-contact fashion. The stator body includes a stator winding formed with an insulation layer and arranged radially outward of the rotor body with a clearance from the rotor body and a stator core which supports the stator winding.
