  • Publication number: 20240059287
Abstract: A vehicle traveling control device executes follow-up traveling control in which an own vehicle is made to travel following a preceding vehicle under a condition. The vehicle traveling control device includes an acquiring unit that acquires traffic congestion information relating to a traffic congestion nearby the own vehicle, and a control unit that continues the follow-up traveling control such that the speed of the own vehicle does not exceed the predetermined speed, when a presence of the traffic congestion is detected based on the traffic congestion information while the follow-up traveling control is being executed, and subsequently, when the speed of the own vehicle reaches a reference speed that is no greater than the predetermined speed and the inter-vehicle distance reaches a reference distance that is no greater than the predetermined distance, starts predetermined control to end the follow-up traveling control.

  • Publication number: 20230068362
Abstract: A vehicle traveling control device is capable of implementing an automatic driving mode that can cause an own vehicle to travel following a preceding vehicle within a predetermined speed range. The vehicle traveling control device includes an acquiring unit that acquires traffic congestion information relating to a traffic congestion nearby the own vehicle, and a control unit that suppresses acceleration of the own vehicle in a first case in which presence of a traffic congestion is detected based on the traffic congestion information, and the own vehicle can be accelerated, during implementation of the automatic driving mode.

  • Publication number: 20220268941
Abstract: A data processing device performs an abnormality determination process in which i) a relative moving distance indicating a distance by which a tracking target moves relatively to a movable body is predicted, in a range of a data set for expressing point group data until the lapse of a predetermined time from a present timing, ii) the relative moving distance includes a vertical distance and a horizontal distance, iii) an estimated intensity of reflected light is calculated, when the vertical distance or the horizontal distance is equal to or longer than a predetermined distance, and iv) it is determined that there is an abnormality in the predetermined section when it is determined that a difference between the estimated intensity of the reflected light and an actual intensity of the reflected light is higher than a predetermined intensity.

  • Patent number: 11235735
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus includes one or more electronic control units configured to execute autonomous traveling control of a vehicle based on detection results of a plurality of sensors, a cleaner configured to clean dirt off of at least one of the plurality of sensors. The one or more electronic control units are configured to determine, when cleaning of dirt of a first sensor is executed, whether or not execution of the autonomous traveling control can be continued based on a detection result of one or more remaining sensors among the plurality of sensors, control the vehicle such that a required detection range is narrowed in case it is determined that the execution of the autonomous traveling control cannot be continued, and control the cleaner such that the cleaner cleans dirt off of the first sensor while continuing the execution of the autonomous traveling control.

  • Patent number: 11156702
Abstract: A sensor abnormality determining apparatus is configured to determine an abnormality in a sensor apparatus, which is used to recognize a surrounding environment of a vehicle and which includes a heater for heating a cover. The sensor abnormality determining apparatus is provided with: a detector configured to detect a temperature of the heater; an estimator configured to estimate a temperature of the heater on the basis of a speed of the vehicle and an outside air temperature; and a determinator configured to determine an abnormality in the sensor apparatus on the basis of the detected temperature and the estimated temperature.
