  • Patent number: 7293943
Abstract: In a tool holder, when oil supplied via an oil supply passage and an oil introducing passage reaches an atomizing space, the oil is atomized by an air flow of carrier gas consisting of compressed air, and then water supplied from a water supply passage and a water introducing passage is formed into a water drop in the atomizing space by an air flow of oil containing compressed air to generate the water drop with oil film in which the oil film is formed on a surface of the water drop. Since the water drop with oil film is supplied to a work piece through a top nozzle and an in-tool passage, the water drop with oil film is generated at an extremely close location to a tool, and therefore, responsiveness when supplying the water drop with oil film to the work piece can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6116611
Abstract: There is disclosed a tubular packing which can be easily produced, and has satisfactory durability while maintaining excellent properties of exfoliated graphite such as cushioning properties and heat-resistance. There are prepared a sheet of exfoliated graphite sheet and two wire nets equal in size and shape to the sheet. The one wire net is superposed on an obverse side of the sheet in coinciding relation thereto whereas the other wire net is held in contact with a reverse side of the sheet in offset relation thereto, and this stack is curved into a tubular shape, and this tubular stack is compressed in a direction of a thickness of the sheet, thereby forming a tubular packing. Therefore, in the resultant tubular packing, the wire nets are embedded in the sheet. The wire net interconnects the opposite end edges of the sheet in a bridging manner, so that the tubular packing is continuous over the entire circumference thereof.

  • Patent number: 6106961
Abstract: There is disclosed a sliding sheet material for high-temperature use which can be easily produced, and has satisfactory durability while maintaining excellent properties of exfoliated graphite such as cushioning properties and heat-resistance. The sliding sheet material includes a sheet-shaped exfoliated graphite, and at least two layers of wire net embedded in the exfoliated graphite sheet, the wire net layers being disposed substantially parallel to each other. The wire net layers are partially exposed to obverse and reverse sides of the exfoliated graphite. The satisfactory durability of the sliding sheet material is achieved by the exposed wire nets, and the sliding sheet material can be easily produced, and exhibits excellent cushioning properties and heat resistance.

  • Patent number: 6089756
Abstract: There are provided a plain bearing which is excellent in oil retaining property and wear-resistant property. The plain bearing has a number of fine grooves which are parallely formed with one another and extending in the circumferential direction on the inner surface of the bearing, the fine grooves comprising deep grooves and shallow grooves. When this bearing is used as a plain bearing, a large amount of lubricating oil can be retained in the deep grooves and the shallow grooves so that a plain bearing which is excellent in anti-seizure property and wear-resistant property can be obtained. Further, even if the shallow grooves will have been worn out by wear and tear during use of extended period of time, the anti-seizure property and the wear-resistant property can be stably maintained by the lubricating oil retained in the deep grooves.

  • Patent number: 6059460
Abstract: There are provided a plain bearing which is excellent in oil retaining property and wear-resistant property. The plain bearing has a number of fine grooves which are formed in the circumferential direction on each of the inner surfaces of semi-cylindrical bearing metals. Lands are defined as portions of the plain bearing which are left between the fine grooves. The lands comprise higher projecting lands and lower projecting lands. With this arrangement, a rotating shaft is supported by the higher projecting lands and a large amount of lubricating oil can be retained between the higher projecting land and the next higher projecting land thereto. Consequently, the bearing and its associated rotating parts can be prevented from the possible seizure in the running-in period at the early stage when using the bearing, which is liable to cause the seizure in particular.

  • Patent number: 5332317
Abstract: A small bearing which has the characteristics of a sliding bearing having a small coefficient of friction and of a rolling bearing, includes an outer metallic cylinder, a plastic inner cylinder, rolling elements, and a collar, with a plurality of rolling element holding grooves being provided on the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder. The grooves are formed in parallel with the axis of the bearing, and the rolling elements positioned therein are rotatable. Grease can be applied to the outer peripheral sur#ace of the inner cylinder, which holds the rolling elements, and the entire inner cylinder is covered with the outer cylinder, with the end portions of the outer cylinder being bent toward the axis. By forming the metal components from an austenite-type stainless steel, the problem of corrosion may be overcome.

  • Patent number: 5306090
Abstract: A plurality of retaining grooves for rolling members are arranged in the inner cylinder. The retaining grooves have semicircular bottom halves and top halves having sector-shaped sections diverging radially outwardly. The rolling members are accommodated in the bottom halves of the retaining grooves and grease fills the top halves. Then, the inner cylinder is fit into the outer cylinder. In rotating the bearing, the rolling members are rotated by the bottom halves of the retaining grooves serving as a sliding bearing and rolled on the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder. When a heavy load is applied, the rolling members are pushed down to the same level as the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder, thereby distributing and supporting the load by the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder and the rolling members.

  • Patent number: 5302032
Abstract: A bearing comprises a metallic outer tube having a flange, a inner tube of resin having a flange, radial rollers, thrust balls and a collar. A plurality of roller receiving grooves are formed on the outer periphery of the inner tube, while a plurality of roller receiving recesses are formed on the flange of the inner tube. The receiving grooves are formed in parallel relation to the bearing axis. The receiving recesses are formed circumferentially in concentric relation to the bearing axis. Each of the rollers received respectively within the receiving groove is rotatable. Grease is possibly apply to an outer peripheral surface of the inner tube body and a flange surface thereof. The cylindrical outer tube covering the entirety has both ends which are bent toward the axis. As corrosion countermeasure, it is preferred to form metallic parts of the bearing with stainless steel.
