  • Patent number: 6920014
Abstract: A magnetic head includes a slider having a recording and/or reproducing thin film element, and a flexure having an elastically deformable tongue piece, the slider and the flexure being bonded together and electrically connected with a conductive resin film. The conductive resin film includes at least one conductor containing carbon particles, carbon nano-tubes, or a metal nano-powder, a resin adhesive, and a metal conductive filler. The conduction-start voltage of the conductive resin film is set to 1.0 V or less.

  • Patent number: 6791802
Abstract: The present invention provides a magnetic head device exhibiting a good bonded state of a piezoelectric element and a load beam, and excellent reliability. The magnetic head device includes a slider provided with a reproducing element for detecting a magnetic signal recorded on a recording medium, and a recording element for recording a magnetic signal on the recording medium, an elastic supporting member for supporting the slider, and piezoelectric elements mounted on the elastic supporting member, for distorting the elastic supporting member to change the position of the slider. The piezoelectric element and the elastic supporting member are bonded together with a photo-curing and thermosetting epoxy adhesive resin having a Young's modulus of 1 GPa or more at 25° C., and a glass transition temperature of 90° C. or more.

    Inventors: Mitsuru Watanabe, Hidezi Sato
  • Patent number: 6710975
Abstract: A magnetic head includes an adhesive layer having particulate disposed between a slider and a flexure. A gap of a predetermined size is disposed between the slider and the flexure. Stress generated by the thermal expansion of the slider and the flexure are absorbed or substantially prevented by the adhesive layer.
