    Abstract: A delivery platform delivers data from a remote data source to an application on a mobile device. In response to requests from the application, the delivery platform retrieves the data from a remote data source and stores it in a local database. Corresponding metadata is stored in a metadata database. The delivery platform delivers to the application a view of the retrieved data that is based on the retrieved data stored in the local database and on the metadata stored in the metadata database.
