Abstract: The hair gel composition contains a combination of at least one hair-fixing polymer and at least one polymeric gel former. The polymeric gel formers are homopolymers or copolymers built up from at least one type of monomer, which is an acrylamidoalkylsulfonic acid, a methacrylicamidoalkylsulfonic acid or a salt thereof, and from acrylate polymers with thickening action, which are built up from acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and at least one acrylic or methacrylic acid ester. The hair gel composition is suitable for a non-aerosol spray product for increasing hair luster and/or hold or fixing of the hair.

Abstract: The aerosol foam product for hair treatment includes a pressure-resistant container and a foamable composition filled in the pressure-resistant container together with a propellant. The foamable composition contains a dialkyldiallyl ammonium chloride/acrylamide copolymer; another copolymer, formed from a first monomer, which is an alkyl acrylate or alkylmethacrylate, and a second monomer, which is acrylic acid or methacrylic acid; at least one base for at least partial or total neutralization of the another copolymer and a suitable solvent system.

Abstract: The hair treatment compositions for imparting volume to hair each contain from 0.1 to 20 percent by weight of one or more terpolymers of vinyl pyrrolidone, vinyl caprolactam and a basic acryl amide monomer and from 0.05 to 10 percent by weight of one or more cation-active hair-care substance. The composition provides a long-lasting volumizing effect to hair treated with it. It is especially effective on damaged hair and provides good combability without loading the hair.

Abstract: The gel and the thickened hair treatment composition contain a combination of (A) at least one terpolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone, vinyl caprolactam and a basic acrylamide monomer, and (B) a gel-forming ingredient selected from the group consisting of gel formers which increase, or at most decrease by about 40%, a viscosity of an aqueous composition containing them when the at least one terpolymer is added to the aqueous composition. The preferred gel formers are acrylic acid polymers, xanthan gum and hydroxyalkylcellulose compounds.

Abstract: An agent for setting and caring for the hair, is based on a synergistic combination of (a) 0.1 to 10 percent by weight of a cationic copolymer of vinylimidazolium methochloride and vinylpyrrolidone as a quarternized copolymer of the vinylpyrrolidone and (b) 0.1 to 5.0 percent by weight of tetraoxyethylene laurylether.
