    Abstract: A method of inducing a CD8+ T-cell response against a selected molecule by delivering the molecule via a recombinant simian adenovirus is provided. Also provided are methods of inducing interferon-&agr; and interferon-&bgr; by delivering a recombinant simian adenovirus to a subject. The methods of the invention are particularly well suited for prophylaxis and treatment of infections with human immunodeficiency virus and human papilloma virus, among others, and cancer therapy.
