  • Publication number: 20240031343
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that includes receiving user input to configure a secure storage unit (SSU) having a first portion attached to a network and storing encrypted data, a second portion attached to the network and storing unencrypted data, and a third portion attachable to the network. The user input defines a security level for each portion. The method also includes receiving a data object for storage in the SSU, and determining a data security level for the data object; the data security level is determined by user input regarding the data object and/or analysis of the data object by the processing system, and the analysis includes analysis of attributes of the data object and/or content of the data object. The method further includes storing the data object in the SSU according to the data security level. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230353977
Abstract: Location-based communication using a wireless device (e.g., a mobile device) is enabled. For example, a system can comprise: a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: based on a first network connection of a node of a retail location to network equipment enabling network service for the retail location, determining a first location of the node, based on a second network connection of a mobile device to the network equipment, determining a second location of the mobile device, determining whether a distance between the first location and the second location satisfies a distance threshold, in response to a determination that the distance satisfies the distance threshold, generating message data representative of a message associated with the retail location, and sending the message data to the mobile device, for the message to be presented via the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11779431
Abstract: A marker delivery device includes a handle having a housing, and a cannula positioned in the handle that retractably extends beyond the front end of the housing. A retraction mechanism is mounted to the housing, and has a shear member. The retraction mechanism is coupled to a proximal end of the cannula. The retraction mechanism is configured to store a retraction force, and is configured to facilitate a retraction of the cannula into a chamber of the housing upon an actuation of the retraction mechanism. The shear member has a shear region of reduced cross section dimension. The shear member is configured to be displaced upon the actuation of the retraction mechanism to expose the shear region to the retraction force to shear the shear member at the shear region to enable the retraction and prevent reuse of the marker delivery device.

  • Patent number: 11633226
Abstract: Described herein are cannulas that comprise a cannula tube and a cannula tip. The cannula tube comprises a proximal end, a distal end, a cannula tube lumen, a sidewall, and a sidewall opening extending through the sidewall, the sidewall opening a proximal end and distal end. The cannula tip is secured to the distal end of the cannula tube and comprises a proximal tip portion that is inserted into the cannula tube lumen and a distal tip portion that extends beyond the distal end of the cannula tube. The cannula tip is configured to allow fluid to flow therethrough and is configured to eject a distal tip of an elongated device through the sidewall opening of the cannula tube as the elongated device is inserted through the cannula tube from the proximal end of the cannula tube.

  • Patent number: 10258428
Abstract: A marker delivery device is configured for deploying a tissue marker. The marker delivery device includes a handle having a chamber, and a cannula. According to one aspect, the cannula has a flexible portion formed by a slot arrangement having of a plurality of spaced-apart substantially parallel peripheral slots extending through the side wall of the cannula to the lumen. A marker introducer rod is movably disposed in the lumen of the cannula for deploying the mark, and has a flexible region that corresponds to the flexible portion of the cannula. According to another aspect, a retraction mechanism is mounted to the handle and is configured to facilitate a complete retraction of both the cannula and the marker introducer rod into the chamber of the housing of the handle upon an actuation of the retraction mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9381368
Abstract: A lead connector assembly for an Implantable Medical Device (IMD) is disclosed. The lead connector assembly includes a rigid elongated connector core having a core opening along its long axis. An alternating series of elastomer seals and header contacts are inserted into the core opening along the long axis and meet with an end stop to hermetically self-align the header contacts with contact openings along the sides of the core. A connector block can be inserted into an opening in the connector core, and sealed with an adhesive. Once the connector core, header contacts, seals, and connector block are subassembled, the connector core subassembly may be hermitically tested, and thereafter affixed to other subassemblies by affixing means on the connector cores. Feedthrough pins can then be connected to the header contacts through the contact openings, and overmolded with a header to the IPG's case.
