  • Patent number: 10942818
Abstract: A common backup and recovery solution is provided for diverse cloud-based services in a productivity suite. The common backup and recovery solution can be configured to interface with an API platform that is associated with the productivity suite to thereby retrieve text-based data that identifies content of the diverse cloud-based services. The common backup and recovery solution can create a backup of the content by storing the text-based data. The common backup and recovery solution can also employ the text-based data to identify and obtain files that form part of the content and then store the files as part of the backup with the text-based data. To perform a recovery, the common backup and recovery solution can employ the text-based data of the backup and content of the files in the backup to send requests to the API platform that will cause the content to be restored.

  • Patent number: 10944697
Abstract: A sliding window buffer is implemented on a local computing device that places chunks of content from a data source into a local buffer for transmission on a per-chunk basis. A portion of memory in the local buffer can be re-used for a single data transmission operation until the content is fully transmitted to a remote computing device. Logical positions on the local buffer which correlate to inner positions on the data source are utilized to enable the sliding window buffer to retrieve and retransmit chunks of data, if necessary. An inner position indicates a byte location in the data source and a logical position indicates a corresponding byte position in the local buffer. The local computing device can utilize byte positions to retrieve and re-transmit chunks of data if, for example, the device fails to receive an acknowledgement from the remote computing device for any of the data.

  • Publication number: 20210056204
Abstract: The disclosed technology teaches reducing threat detection processing, including recognizing that a file is an edited version of a previously processed file and retrieving, from an archive, metadata values, hashes for property groups and an entropy measure of the previously processed file. Also included is parsing the file into metadata values and property groups and calculating hashes of the property groups and entropy measure for the file. The method further includes applying similarity measures to compare the metadata values, the entropy measures, and the hashes on the property groups, for the edited version and the previously processed file. When any similarity measure or combination of similarity measures reaches a trigger, the technology teaches processing the file by using a threat detection module to detect malware. Property groups include core properties, application properties, document content and programming scripts for the edited version of the file and the previously processed file.

  • Patent number: 10922492
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to assist an author in creating content variations of a given input text to better suit the mood or the affect preferences of the target audience. Affect distribution in the content is utilized to capture these psycholinguistic preferences. According to one embodiment, in a first phase the optimal/idea psycholinguistic preference for text content aimed at a particular audience segment is determined. In a second phase, a given text content is modified to align to a target language distribution, which was determined in the first phase. In one example case, word level replacement, insertions and deletions are executed to generate a modified and coherent version of the input text. The output text thus reflects the psycholinguistic requirements of the audience.
