  • Patent number: 7477880
Abstract: A communication device is provided which is capable of transmitting pickup images efficiently with high portability, manipulativity and instantaneous response. The communication device is disclosed in which according to one preferred embodiment, a control apparatus starts a communicating (such as radio transmission) operation in a communication apparatus simultaneous to an image pickup operation in an image pickup function when a predetermined operation is instructed by a manipulation of a manipulation apparatus from a user in a communication device having the image pickup function. Thereby, the pickup images obtained by the image pickup function are automatically transmitted to a specified transmission destination via a communicative apparatus. Thus, a user can transmit pickup images to a desired transmission destination simultaneously only by making a simple manipulation of changing the operating mode of the device to a predetermined mode or the like.

  • Patent number: 7319484
Abstract: A method for processing images comprises the steps of performing the reception of data through the net work, inputting image data obtainable in accordance with the designated input mode, managing the storage of the data received in the receiving step and the image data inputted in the input step to the memory, and intervening between the operations of the reception step and the input step in accordance with the storage management in the controlling step. With the method thus structured, the compression ratio of the input image is heightened by changing the current photographing mode if the added value of the estimated reception data through communicating means and the data side of photographed image predetermined by the current photographing mode should exceed the remainders of memory in the storage, hence making it possible to implement the compatibility of immediacy between the image input and the communication by dealing with any sudden reception during photographing.

  • Patent number: 5710634
Abstract: An output apparatus comprises a recording sheet conveying section having two feeder portions; a reader section for reading information which has been outputted onto a recording sheet; and an output section for outputting information onto a recording sheet. The apparatus determines whether a sheet set in a feeder portion is a print sheet or an original document, and performs reading and/or recording in accordance with the determination and/or an application being executed. The apparatus further has a memory for storing information which has been outputted onto a sheet and a comparator for comparing the information stored in the memory with the information read from the sheet by the reading section. Based on the comparison, the apparatus determines a proper manner (i.e., proper output position and orientation of the data) to output information onto the other side of the sheet, and also selects information to be outputted.

  • Patent number: 4786980
Abstract: An image information recording system reads image information out of a microfilm of which a plurality of image information items are recorded and records it onto a photodisk device. The microfilm has a Blip Mark indicative of the position of a frame. The mark is detected and index information for representing the address of image information recorded on the photodisk device is calculated. In another aspect, the recordable capacity of the photodisk device is sensed. As a result, when one unit of frames of image information is detected to be more than the photodisk device can hold, the one unit of image information is re-recorded on a second recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4595275
Abstract: In m.sub.1 magnification copy mode, a photosensitive member, at the first exposure station is exposed to the light image of an original existing at the first illumination position through a first lens array. In m.sub.2 magnification copy mode, the photosensitive member, at the second exposure station, is exposed to the light image of the original existing at the second illumination position through a second lens array. The original is moved through the first and second illumination positions in sequence while the photosensitive member is moved through the first and second exposure stations in the order named. Registration rollers for feeding transfer materials to a transfer station is operated with different timings in the m.sub.1 magnification and m.sub.2 magnification modes, these timings being different from each other by a period of time which corresponds to the spacing between the first and second exposure stations.
