Publication number: 20250258705Abstract: A workload control device stores: workload management information for managing an execution schedule and power consumption of the workloads constituting the pipeline; and reduced power consumption management information for managing information about power consumption that needs to be reduced from scheduled power consumption and indicative of a reduction period and amount of power consumption. Based on the workload management information and the reduced power consumption management information, the workload control device: determines a priority of a workload to be determined whether to be interrupted; provides a workload scheduled to be terminated by the start of the reduction period with a priority higher than that of a workload scheduled to be terminated after the start of the reduction period; and determines an execution method of the workloads in the order of the priority until the total of the power consumption of the determined workloads reach the reduced amount in the pipeline.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2025Publication date: August 14, 2025Inventors: Atsuya KUMAGAI, Yoji OZAWA, Hiro TANAKA

Publication number: 20240104478Abstract: To reduce a power surplus of fluctuating renewable energy. Data center candidate management information indicates a characteristic of renewable energy supplied to each data center candidate. Application program type candidate management information indicates a characteristic of each application program type candidate. The system determines, with reference to the data center candidate management information and the application program type candidate management information, a plurality of combinations each including one or more data center candidates and one or more application program type candidates, determines a score of each combination based on a characteristic of renewable energy supplied to each of the one or more data center candidates and a characteristic of each of the one or more application program type candidates, and selects, based on the score, a combination to be presented.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Yoji OZAWA, Satoshi KANEKO, Hiro TANAKA, Yasutaka KONO

Publication number: 20230420984Abstract: A data center (DC) user device manages user power consumption in a time unit, and stores the user power consumption in a power consumption table. A DC provider device manages provider power consumption in a time unit and stores the provider power consumption in the power consumption table. A power retailer device measures provider power consumption for a certain period, and determines retailer power consumption when a measurement value of the provider power consumption is equal to a total value of all user power consumptions.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Atsuya KUMAGAI, Hiro TANAKA, Yoji OZAWA

Publication number: 20230368099Abstract: The invention achieves an increase in speed and optimization of a cooperative operation plan creation work between a data center operator and a user. In an operation plan creation method in a data center, an operation plan server calculates a handling cost to handle a given consumption pattern of a DC user when an operation plan of a created workload (WL) is to be created or changed, and creates an operation plan optimization equation for maximizing or minimizing an index such as a cost including the handling cost. At this time, a solution of the operation plan optimization equation is obtained such that a consumption pattern obtained by changing a consumption pattern in a past response history of the user according to a certain rule is available at a handling cost to handle the changed consumption pattern, thereby creating an operation plan draft for the consumption pattern of the user and a device held by a data center operator.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 2, 2023Publication date: November 16, 2023Inventors: Hiro TANAKA, Atsuya KUMAGAI, Yoji OZAWA

Patent number: 5735920Abstract: A manufacturing method for an optical glass element having a refractive index equal to a design value after press-molding. A glass material of specified composition is melted and press-molded while it is in the molten state. The refractive index of the glass material is calculated by substracting a change in the refractive index of the glass material resulting from the press-molding from a required refractive index for a molded glass element.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1997Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Masaki Omori, Hiroe Tanaka, Takeshi Nomura, Kiyoshi Yamamoto, Masayuki Tomida, Masashi Mashige, Shizuo Maruyama

Patent number: 5275637Abstract: A method of pressing flowing-down molten glass from the opposite sides thereof by a pair of shaping mold members to thereby manufacture a glass optical part having surfaces corresponding to the shaping surfaces of the mold members is characterized in that a groove forming ring is provided around the shaping surface of at least one of the shaping mold members, a groove is formed in the molten glass by the groove forming ring during the press and the flowing-down molten glass is cut above that portion thereof which is being pressed, thereby obtaining a glass molded article having an ear protruding outwardly of the groove relative to an optical part body portion.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1991Date of Patent: January 4, 1994Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Bunryo Sato, Nobukazu Yogo, Hiroe Tanaka, Takeshi Nomura, Hiroyuki Kubo

Patent number: 5250099Abstract: Disclosed is a glass molding process using an apparatus for manufacturing a glass preform into a glass molded product. In the process a mold is prepared for pressing the glass preform. The mold consists of a pair of molds having a cavity surface for forming the glass molded product, and a frame mold which is movable against the pair of molds and incorporates a heating source. A next step in the process involves introducing the glass preform, where the pair of molds are opened and the glass preform is placed on the cavity surface. The glass preform then undergoes heating, where the glass preform is moved so as to come near the heating source of the frame mold by closing the mold, thereby heating the glass preform. The glass preform is then pressed by moving the mold to mold a shape of a glass molded product. The resulting glass molded product is then separated from the heating source by moving the frame mold and taken out by opening the mold.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 1991Date of Patent: October 5, 1993Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiroyuki Kubo, Takeshi Nomura, Hiroe Tanaka, Nobukazu Yogo, Bunryo Sato

Patent number: 5227917Abstract: A lens is manufactured by preparing a glass material, preparing a molding apparatus for pressmolding the glass material into a lens shape, preheating the glass material or heating the glass material in the molding apparatus to soften the glass material and molding the glass material into the lens shape by the molding apparatus. An engagement portion of the molded lens to a member on which the lens is to be mounted is molded in the molding process simultaneously with the molding of an optically function portion of the lens.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 1991Date of Patent: July 13, 1993Assignee: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiroyuki Kubo, Takeshi Nomura, Hiroe Tanaka, Nobukazu Yogo, Bunryo Sato
