  • Patent number: 9392581
Abstract: It is possible to solve the problem that a downstream control information amount is significantly increased if allocation information is periodically reported because no allocation method of a default E-DCH resource configuration is defined for a preamble signature. A base station and a mobile station decide a default resource configuration by using a total number of resource configurations or a value obtained from the total number.

  • Publication number: 20160198390
Abstract: A first base station (1) is configured to send, to a second base station (2), first configuration information that is necessary to establish a data bearer and a data radio bearer in the second base station (2) for a C/U-plane split scenario (S105). Further, the first base station (1) is configured to keep the first configuration information in the first base station (1) even after the data bearer and the data radio bearer are established in the second base station (2) (S109). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to a reduction in a path switch delay when a UE moves between cells in the C/U-plane split scenario.

  • Patent number: 9380505
Abstract: A base station (1) is connectable to a mobile station (4) by a plurality of Radio Access Technologies (RATs) including first and second RATs. The base station (1) is configured to be able to use a communication path (400) that passes through a first upstream network (140) corresponding to the first RAT, when the mobile station (4) performs communication via the second RAT. This enables, for example, efficient use of the upstream networks when the Multi-RAT base station (1) supports a plurality of upstream networks.

  • Patent number: 9344212
Abstract: To solve a problem that unless all of a plurality of AICH signature states are correctly decoded, the contents of reception results cannot be recognized and the error rate of signature decoding will be high. In this embodiment, a base station uses, out of a signature combination, the signature of at least one predetermined position to indicate information containing a preamble reception result and uses the signature of a position other than the predetermined position to indicate a transmission profile information number of an uplink channel for notification to a user equipment. Thus, the error rate related to reception results can be reduced as compared with the case where a single signature combination is used to notify all pieces of information.

  • Publication number: 20160105815
Abstract: A method and a device for estimating a communication load, as well as a radio station and an upper-level apparatus in a radio communication system, are provided that can estimate a communication load in a target network with high accuracy by using received quality information. A communication load estimation function (1) for estimating a communication load in a network (NW) estimates the communication load in the network by using at least a first quality indicator (Q1), which is a quality measurement value including entire received power, and a second quality indicator (Q2), which is a quality measurement value including the signal-to-noise-and-interference ratio of a reference signal.

  • Publication number: 20160044637
Abstract: A radio station (1) includes a first part (1A) and at least one second part (1B). The second part (1B) can be arranged so as to be physically separated from the first part (1A) and is connected to the first part (1A) via a transmission line (40) so as to be able to communicate with the first part. The first part (1A) performs dynamic scheduling to allocate a plurality of radio resources to a plurality of mobile stations or user data. The second part (1B) performs signal processing including channel coding for transmitting downlink user data to an air interface and channel decoding for restoring uplink user data from a signal received from the air interface.

  • Publication number: 20160044573
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes at least one upper radio station (1) and a relay station (2). The relay station (2) performs a radio relay between a lower radio station (3) and the upper radio station (1). The relay station (2) is configured to attach, when an attaching to a first upper radio station included in attaching configuration information indicating an upper radio station to which the relay station (2) should attach is unsuccessful, to a second upper radio station different from the first upper radio station, and to notify a network (4 and 5) of notification information via the second upper radio station, the notification information indicating that the attaching to the first upper radio station is unsuccessful.

  • Publication number: 20160007403
Abstract: A radio terminal (3) can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell (10) of a first radio station (1) and a second cell (20) of a second radio station (2). The first radio station (1) performs, with the radio terminal (3), radio resource control for the first cell (10) and the second cell (20) in order to perform the carrier aggregation. At least one of the second radio station (2) and the radio terminal (3) is configured to transmit, to the first radio station (10), information about a problem occurring in a radio link in the second cell (20) between the second radio station (20) and the radio terminal (30) while the carrier aggregation of the first cell (10) and the second cell (20) is being performed.

  • Publication number: 20160007284
Abstract: A radio terminal (3) can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell (10) of a first radio station (1) and a second cell (20) of a second radio station (2). The first radio station (1) or the second radio station (2) transmits constraint information to the radio terminal (3). The constraint information contains an information element necessary to specify a reception constraint and/or transmission constraint related to the first cell (10) and/or the second cell (20) when the carrier aggregation is performed. The reception/transmission constraint is a constraint related to downlink signal reception/uplink signal transmission by the radio terminal over one or more subframe periods of the primary cell (10) and the secondary cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to reduction in wasteful power consumption in the radio terminal in the carrier aggregation of a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.

  • Publication number: 20160007332
Abstract: A radio terminal (3) can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell (10) of a first radio station (1) and a second cell (20) of a second radio station (2). The first radio station (1) performs, with the radio terminal (3), radio resource control for the first cell (10) and the second cell (20) in order to perform the carrier aggregation. Further, the first radio station (1) transmits, to the second radio station (2), update information regarding an update to a configuration related to the radio resource control for the second cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to prevent or reduce data transmission/reception failures which would otherwise occur while a configuration of radio parameters or the like is being changed by a radio terminal in carrier aggregation of a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.

  • Publication number: 20150365993
Abstract: A first base station (1) that operates a first cell (10) is configured to receive, from a mobile station (4) through a signaling radio bearer in the first cell (10), a signal containing a NAS message that causes a setup of a data bearer in a data transfer apparatus (7) within a core network (5). The first base station (1) is also configured to send, when forwarding the NAS message received from the mobile station (4) to the mobility management apparatus (6) within the core network (5), a control message that causes a suspension of the setup of the data bearer to the mobility management apparatus (6). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to a simple establishment of a U-Plane bearer in a dual-connectivity scenario.

  • Publication number: 20150350962
Abstract: A radio network (6) and a radio terminal (4) are configured to, when the radio terminal (4) is using a first cell (10) served by a first radio station (1) as a primary cell and a second cell (20) served by a second radio station (2) as a secondary cell, change the secondary cell form the second cell (20) to a third cell (30) while keeping communication status information regarding the radio terminal (4) on the second cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to enable a communication service in the secondary cell to be continued after the secondary cell is changed when the radio terminal which is simultaneously using a plurality of cells served by different radio stations changes the secondary cell from a cell of one radio station to a cell of another radio station.

  • Patent number: 9198108
Abstract: The second data transfer unit (RN S/P-GW 8) terminates a relay-station data bearer provided between a relay station (RN 2) and the second data transfer unit, and transfers user data between a first data transfer unit (UE S/P-GW 6) and the relay station (RN 2) by associating a mobile-station data bearer provided between the mobile station (RN-UE 3) and the first data transfer unit (UE S/P-GW 6) with the relay-station data bearer. When a belonging destination of the relay station (RN 2) is changed from the first base station (DeNB 1-1) to the second base station (DeNB 1-2), a relay-station mobility management unit (RN MME 7) changes a path of the relay-station data bearer, which is terminated by the relay station (RN 2) and the second data transfer unit (RN S/P-GW 8), so as to pass through the second base station (DeNB 1-2). It is thereby possible, for example, to change base stations without interrupting communication of a mobile station (RN-UE 3) during operation of a relay node cell.
