  • Patent number: 11546847
Abstract: A radio terminal (3) can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell (10) of a first radio station (1) and a second cell (20) of a second radio station (2). The first radio station (1) or the second radio station (2) transmits constraint information to the radio terminal (3). The constraint information contains an information element necessary to specify a reception constraint and/or transmission constraint related to the first cell (10) and/or the second cell (20) when the carrier aggregation is performed. The reception/transmission constraint is a constraint related to downlink signal reception/uplink signal transmission by the radio terminal over one or more subframe periods of the primary cell (10) and the secondary cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to reduction in wasteful power consumption in the radio terminal in the carrier aggregation of a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.

  • Patent number: 11528627
Abstract: A radio terminal (2) is used in a radio communication system (100) and communicates with a radio station (1). The radio terminal (2) includes a measurement unit (20). The measurement unit (20) operates to perform, using a terminal measurement procedure for executing a first terminal measurement corresponding to radio access technology applied to the radio communication system (100), a second terminal measurement of a shared frequency shared by a plurality of radio systems including the radio communication system (100).

  • Publication number: 20220330101
Abstract: A radio network (6) and a radio terminal (4) are configured to, when the radio terminal (4) is using a first cell (10) served by a first radio station (1) as a primary cell and a second cell (20) served by a second radio station (2) as a secondary cell, change the secondary cell form the second cell (20) to a third cell (30) while keeping communication status information regarding the radio terminal (4) on the second cell (20). It is thus, for example, possible to enable a communication service in the secondary cell to be continued after the secondary cell is changed when the radio terminal which is simultaneously using a plurality of cells served by different radio stations changes the secondary cell from a cell of one radio station to a cell of another radio station.

  • Publication number: 20220287023
Abstract: A radio terminal can perform carrier aggregation using a first cell of a first radio station and a second cell of a second radio station. The first radio station performs, with the radio terminal, radio resource control for the first cell and the second cell in order to perform the carrier aggregation. Further, the first radio station transmits, to the second radio station, update information regarding an update to a configuration related to the radio resource control for the second cell. It is thus, for example, possible to prevent or reduce data transmission/reception failures which would otherwise occur while a configuration of radio parameters or the like is being changed by a radio terminal in carrier aggregation of a plurality of cells served by different radio stations.

  • Patent number: 11356924
Abstract: A first base station (1) is configured to send, to a second base station (2), first configuration information that is necessary to establish a data bearer and a data radio bearer in the second base station (2) for a C/U-plane split scenario (S105). Further, the first base station (1) is configured to keep the first configuration information in the first base station (1) even after the data bearer and the data radio bearer are established in the second base station (2) (S109). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to a reduction in a path switch delay when a UE moves between cells in the C/U-plane split scenario.

  • Publication number: 20220167248
Abstract: One or more servers (11) communicate with one or more applications running on each of a plurality of wireless terminals (2) via a first or second cellular communication network (3, 4). Depending on a load of the first cellular communication network, the one more servers (11) select from the first and second cellular communication networks (3, 4) a cellular communication network to be used by each wireless terminal (2) to communicate with the one more servers (11). The one more servers (11) send to each wireless terminal (2) a control message to prompt each wireless terminal (2) to use the selected network. This for example makes it possible to select among a plurality of cellular communication networks in consideration of load status of the cellular communication networks.

  • Publication number: 20220159778
Abstract: At least one server (11) receives from a first wireless terminal (2A) a request for a communication session between the first wireless terminal (2A) and a second wireless terminal (2B). The at least one server (11) determines, based on one or both of first and second priorities associated respectively with the first and second wireless terminals. Furthermore, the at least one server (11) requests a cellular communication network (3) to establish two communication paths (412, 413), respectively for the first and second wireless terminals (2A, 2B), that both satisfy the common priority. This, for example, makes it possible to adjust priorities of a plurality of bearers, which are configured for a plurality of devices in a cellular communication network for a group communication session between these devices though the cellular communication network.

The one more servers (11) determine and send to each wireless terminal (2) a network selection parameter used by each wireless terminal to select from the first and second cellular communication networks (3, 4) a cellular communication network used to communicate with the one more servers (11), based on one or any combination of an application priority associated with each application, a device priority associated with each wireless terminal (2), and an organization priority associated with an organization to which the plurality of wireless terminals (2) belong. This, for example, allows priority handling regarding a public safety service to be reflected in a selection among a plurality of cellular communication networks.

  • Publication number: 20220159441
Abstract: At least one server (11) communicates with one or more applications running on each of wireless terminals (2) through one or more communication paths provided by a cellular communication network (3). The at least one server (11) determines a QoS parameter to be applied by the cellular communication network (3) to each communication path, based on one or any combination of a priority associated with each application, a priority associated with each wireless terminal (2), and a priority associated with an organization to which the wireless terminals (2) belong. The at least one server (11) communicates with a node in the cellular communication network (3) to enforce the determined QoS parameter on the corresponding communication path. This, for example, allows priority handling regarding a public safety service to be reflected in a QoS parameter of a cellular communication network.

  • Publication number: 20210329630
Abstract: A radio communication system includes a first base station that manages a first cell (110), a second base station (12) that manages a second cell (120), and a radio terminal (2). The radio terminal (2) supports dual connectivity involving a bearer split in which a first network bearer between the radio terminal (2) and a core network (3) is split over the first base station (11) and the second base station (12). The first base station (11) receives, from the second base station (12), bearer split status information about communication of the first network bearer in the second base station (12), and performs control of an access stratum related to the first network bearer. It is thus possible to contribute, for example, to an improvement in control of an access stratum when dual connectivity involving a bearer split is performed.
