  • Publication number: 20150055899
Abstract: According to the manufacturing method of a bearing which is a sliding member, a bimetal sintered alloy is formed by sintering a metal powder on a surface of a back metal which is a plate shaped metal member to form a sintered layer. In addition, following this, the sintered alloy is molded as a cylindrical bush and the bush undergoes a heat treatment. Following this, the bearing is formed by press-fitting the bush into a collar which is a cylindrical metal member.

  • Patent number: 7883588
Abstract: In a Cu—Bi based sintered alloy, to which hard particles, such as Fe3P, are added, the main constituent components of the microstructure are a Cu matrix, Bi phase and the hard particles. In the sintering method of the present invention, the flow of the Bi phase is suppressed to as low level as possible. The novel structure is that the contact between the Bi phase and hard particles is kept to a low ratio. A lead-free bearing used for a fuel injection pump according to the present invention contains from 1 to 30 mass % of Bi and from 0.1 to 10 mass % of hard particles having from 10 to 50 ?m of the average particle diameter, the balance being Cu and unavoidable impurities. The properties of the main component phases are utilized at a high level such that the sliding properties are equivalent to those of a Pb containing Cu-based sintered alloy.

  • Publication number: 20070030943
Abstract: A spacer for a nuclear fuel assembly includes dividers orthogonally interdigitated relative to one another defining fuel and water rod cells. The dividers defining fuel rod cells have openings carrying an integrally formed spring which projects into the fuel cell to bear the fuel rod in the cell against an opposite stop carried by an opposing divider. The dividers are arranged in a 10×10 array with diagonally opposing quadrants being mirror images of one another. The dividers are surrounded by a peripheral band with integrally formed stops projecting into the peripheral cells enclosing the spacer.

  • Patent number: 5498654
Abstract: Sliding bearing material containing at least two of aromatic polyester-resin particles, spherical carbon particles, and zinc-oxide whisker dispersed in a matrix consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene. The PTFE-based material exhibits little wear under conditions in which vibration is imparted, thereby enhancing reliability of the sliding parts of various machines and equipment and preventing enlargement of clearances during operation.
