  • Patent number: 6017588
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for reinforcing a structure comprising the steps of forming a primer layer on the surface of a structure to be reinforced; forming if necessary a putty layer on the primer layer; applying an impregnating resin on the formed primer layer provided that the putty layer in case where the putty layer is formed on the primer layer, before, after or before and after cladding with the fiber sheets, to allow the resin to penetrate into the spaces in the fiber sheets; and curing the resin, the said primer, putty and impregnating resin comprising a resin composition which can cure at a temperature not more than 5.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5248714
Abstract: A polyisocyanate composition comprising 0.1% by weight or more and less than 10% by weight of a silicate compound dissolved or dispersed into at least one kind of polyisocyanate compound selected from the group consisting of diphenylmethane diisocyanate oligomers containing 20 to 60% by weight of diphenylmethane diisocyanate and the derivatives thereof. This composition has an excellent low temperature storage stability.

  • Patent number: 5240991
Abstract: This invention relates to a polyisocyanate composition which contains a specific amount of denatured silicon oil being inactive to polyisocyanate compound comprising a specific diphenylmethane diisocyanate oligomer and/or its derivatives. The polyisocyanate composition of this invention has excellent storage stability at low temperature.

  • Patent number: 5210246
Abstract: The present invention relates to a reaction product of a tetraalkoxysilane or a silicate oligomer obtained by its partial hydrolysis-dehydration-polycondensation, with an amino alcohol having one or two hydroxyl groups, and a dehydrating agent comprising such a reaction product. The dehydrating agent of the present invention is suitable for dehydrating a moisture at a level of a few hundreds ppm. Further, since an amino alcohol is formed by the dehydration, it is particularly useful as a dehydrating agent for a raw material for the production of a urethane resin or an epoxy resin.
