  • Patent number: 5390991
Abstract: An anti-skid control system for use in an automotive vehicle is comprises of a real slip rate detecting device for detecting a real slip rate of the vehicle, a target slip rate setting device for setting a target slip rate of the vehicle, a braking force control device for adjusting a braking force in such a manner that a deviation between the real slip rate and the target slip rate becomes zero, a load measuring device for measuring a load applied to the vehicle, an correcting device for adding a value to the control device which is the product of a coefficient and the deviation between the real slip rate and the target slip rate and a coefficient adjusting device for decreasing the coefficient as the load decreases. If the load decreases during the vehicle's travel, the coefficient to be multiplied to the deviation between the real slip rate and the target slip rate decreases. Thus the quantity to be subtracted from the braking force is decreased and the current braking force is hardly reduced.

  • Patent number: 5163063
Abstract: A semiconductor laser driving circuit has a semiconductor laser for emitting a laser beam according to a drive power. A photodetector is provided for effecting photo-electric conversion of the laser beam to output a corresponding electric signal. A monitoring circuit is connected for monitoring the electric signal to output a monitor signal indicative of variation in intensity of the laser beam. A controlling circuit is connected for comparing the monitor signal with a given reference signal to output a control signal according to difference therebetween. A powering circuit is operative according to the control signal to apply to the semiconductor laser a drive power effective to eliminate the difference. An abnormality detecting circuit is provided for comparing the monitor signal with a given limit signal which is set different from the reference signal to detect abnormality to output an abnormality signal.

  • Patent number: 5128527
Abstract: A second bar code such as an add-on code which comprises only a character bar and is added to the side of the first bar code such as UPC, EAN and JAN which has a center bar and guard bar can be correctly read out. When the scanning is made from the first bar code side to the second bar code side, a write address produced when the right guard bar of the first bar code is recognized is used to access the data of the second bar code. Conversely, where the scanning is made from the second bar code side to the first bar code side, the write address produced when the center bar of the first bar code is recognized is used to access the second bar code after an arithmetic operation. Therefore, the first bar code can be clearly distinguished from the second bar code which is different in bar code system and the second bar code can be correctly read out.

  • Patent number: 5095203
Abstract: An article detection device includes: a light emission unit for emitting a detection light for irradiation onto an article, and a light reception unit for receiving a light reflected from the article. The article detection device also includes; an analog-to-digital converter for converting the reflected light to a digital signal, a first register for storing the digital signal after being sampled using a first sampling signal having a first period, and a second register for storing the digital signal after being sampled using a second sampling signal having a second period shorter than the first period.

  • Patent number: 5048430
Abstract: A method of stopping combustion in a restrained combustion furnace in which wastes to be incinerated are gasified and then burnt with an air amount lower than a theoretical combustion air amount, in case of emergency, the method including steps of shutting off a combustion air supply line connected to the restrained combustion furnace, simultaneously feeding inert gas to lower portions and an outlet side of the furnace, and opening a bypass line connected to an upper portion of the furnace to flow gas in the furnace through a filter to a waste gas stack, thereby safely stopping the combustion in the restrained combustion furnace in case of emergency.

  • Patent number: 4788508
Abstract: In an audio amplifier, a ripple removing filter capacitor is connected to a ripple terminal, and a negative feedback capacitor is connected to a negative feedback terminal. A pop noise suppression circuit of the amplifier has a forcible discharging circuit which is not operated in a steady state of the audio amplifier. The forcible discharging circuit is operated to forcibly discharge residual charges on the ripple removing capacitor and the negative feedback capacitor only when a power supply of the audio amplifier is turned off.
