    Abstract: A propelling apparatus for a vehicle switchable between a four wheel drive mode and a two wheel drive mode. The apparatus comprises a hydraulic pump for driving hydraulic motors associated with front wheels and rear wheels, respectively. A shutoff valve is provided on oil lines extending between the hydraulic pump and one of the hydraulic motors, e.g. the motor associated with the front wheels. The shutoff valve is operable to establish the two wheel drive mode for driving only the rear wheels. A pumping preventive device prevents the hydraulic motor associated with the front wheels from effecting pumping action due to power transmitted from the front wheels when the shutoff valve is operated.

    Abstract: A riding lawn mower comprises a grass cutting unit and a blade housing movable between a substantially horizontal mowing position and an upturned servicing position. The blade housing is suspended by a raising and lowering link mechanism having one end connected to the blade housing and the other end connected to a vehicle body. The blade housing, when raised, is pivotable backward about a connection thereof to the raising and lowering link mechanism, to expose cutting blades mounted therein. This servicing position is maintained by a prop link pivotally connected to one end to the raising and lowering link mechanism, and connectable at the other end to a bracket formed on the housing.

A leading end of the movable member is pivoted at a longitudinally intermediate position of the bracket and a leading end of the restraining member is pivoted at a rear upper position of the bracket, whereby the grass catcher may be moved and inclined for the dumping action.

    Abstract: A power vehicle is equipped with a mower which has cutters, a clipping passage for transporting grass clippings therethrough to one side of the mower, and an impeller accommodated in a housing and mounted on a lateral shaft. The housing has an outer side plate supporting the shaft and positioned closer to the center of the vehicle at its rear end than at its front end and is thereby diminished in the amount of projection. The impeller is driven by a shaft transmission coupled to a belt transmission for driving the cutters and by a belting transmission. The belting transmission includes a pulley coupled to the shaft transmission, a pulley attached to the outer end of the lateral shaft, and a belt reeved around the pulleys and drivingly movable in parallel to the outer side plate of the housing outside thereof.

From a clipping outlet formed in the rear portion of the mower, a duct extends rearward generally horizontally under the front axle, is bent upward behind one of the front wheels and is connected to the clipping container.

The rear wheels can be steered between a forwardly directed position and a laterally directed position about a vertical axis approximately at the midportion between the pair of front wheels.     Abstract: A device for a boom-type working implement which has a working member and a connector both attached to a boom and which is connectable to a tractor by the connector. The device comprises a stand member having one end pivoted to the boom and the other end provided with a ground engaging portion, and a connecting member having one end pivoted to the stand member and the other end pivoted to the boom. The stand member can be held by the connecting member at an angle with the boom, with the ground engaging portion positioned to the rear of and spaced apart from the working member. The stand member can be held to the boom coextensively therewith by disengageable means.
