  • Patent number: 11277554
Abstract: A control apparatus includes a determination unit configured to determine whether or not a point light source area exists in an image, and a focus control unit configured to perform a focus control based on an evaluation value sequentially acquired from the image while moving the focus lens. The focus control unit changes a method of the focus control based on a position of the point light source area.

  • Patent number: 10893188
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging device that photoelectrically converts an optical image obtained through a focus lens. The focus lens is moved to a focus position set by focus detection performed based on image signals from the imaging device with a first aperture value. A first correction amount of the set focus position is acquired according to a difference between the first aperture value and a second aperture value to be used at a time of photographing. Photographing is executed at a determined focus position at the time of photographing, by a user's operation. If the first correction amount is larger than a predetermined amount, a focus position corrected according to the first correction amount is determined as the focus position at the time of photographing, and if not, the set focus position is determined as the focus position at the time of photographing.

  • Patent number: 10630882
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus corrects defocusing caused by an aperture difference to prevent degradation in AF focusing accuracy. In the image pickup apparatus, an image shift amount is detected based on a pair of picture signals by a phase difference AF method. When a first aperture at a time of a focus detection operation for detecting an image shift amount by a focus detection unit differs from a second aperture at a time of an image shooting operation for recording an image signal acquired from an image pickup device, a correction amount of a position of a focus lens due to a difference between a first aperture and a second aperture is calculated, by using a correction amount acquired from a first storage unit and a difference in the position of the focus lens between the first aperture and the second aperture acquired from a second storage unit.
