  • Patent number: 10821435
Abstract: In a nucleic acid detection cassette, a predetermined syringe is crushed to supply a sample solution to an amplification unit via a channel and the amplification unit is heated from outside to amplify sample DNA in the sample solution. The sample solution containing an amplification product is supplied to a detection unit via the channel and a hybridization reaction occurs in the detection unit. Next, another syringe is crushed and an intercalating agent solution is supplied via another predetermined channel. Therefore, a nucleic acid detection cassette capable of automation from amplification of a sample to detection of an electrochemical reaction of the sample is provided.

  • Patent number: 10632461
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a sealed chemical container has a bonding area where a flexible sheet-like member is firmly bonded onto a plate, and the bonding area defines a first compartment which can be swollen and an outflow passage which communicates with the first compartment via an opening. A first seal portion is weakly bonded onto the plate compared to the bonding area to define the first compartment to block communication between the first compartment and an outflow passage. The first seal portion is peeled off by an increase in internal pressure in the first compartment to allow communication between the first compartment and the outflow passage.

  • Publication number: 20180066247
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a biological tissue grinding container includes a container portion and a vibrated portion, and vibration is transmitted to biological tissue from the vibration portion to grind the biological tissue. The vibrated portion includes a contact portion to be brought into direct contact with the biological tissue and defines a chamber which stores the biological tissue to be ground, together with the container portion. The vibrated portion is fixedly supported to be vibratable to the container portion directly or via a support portion provided between the container portion and itself, and has solidity higher than that of the container portion or support portion.

  • Publication number: 20110317311
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a head includes a slider including a supporting surface opposed to a surface of a rotatable recording medium, and a head section on the slider, configured to record data on and reproduce data from the recording medium. The supporting surface includes a negative-pressure cavity in the supporting surface to produce a negative pressure, a leading step on an inflow side of the airflow in relation to the negative-pressure cavity, a trailing step on an outflow side of the airflow in relation to the negative-pressure cavity, and including the head section, and a pad provided outside the trailing step at an outflow end part of the negative-pressure cavity, and open in at least one of a central side of the slider and an outflow end side of the slider.

  • Publication number: 20090280358
Abstract: A patterned medium is produced by forming a cover layer on a provisional substrate which has a flat surface, forming a patterned recording layer on the cover layer, forming a reinforcing layer on the recording layer in order to form a recording part which is formed by the cover layer, the recording layer and the reinforcing layer, bonding one surface of a main substrate on the reinforcing layer of the recording part, and removing the provisional substrate after bonding the main substrate on the reinforcing layer.

  • Patent number: 7612966
Abstract: A head suspension assembly includes a plate member located at a position distanced from the base. A head slider is supported at the front end of the plate member. A leaf spring connects the rear end of the plate member to the front end of the base. A rib extends at least from the rear end of the plate member toward the front end of the plate member. A restraining piece is located in a space between the rib and the base. When the internal force is induced in the head suspension assembly in response to an impact, the leaf spring receives a force to bend upward to move the head slider upward. The restraining piece serves to avoid any change in the position of the plate member relative to the base. The lead spring is prevented from bending. The plate member is thus reliably prevented from an upward movement.

  • Publication number: 20090059431
Abstract: This head gimbals assembly has a head slider, a flexure, and a load beam. The head slider has a head element and slider-side connection terminals. The flexure has a free end, a fixed end, a slider mounting portion and suspension-side connection terminals connected to the slider-side connection terminals. The load beam fixes a fixed end of the flexure on the side opposite to a flexure surface on which the head slider is mounted a connecting portion for interconnecting the suspension-side connection terminals and the slider mounting portion has higher resiliency than other portion of the connecting portion. According to a suspension in the present embodiment, a head gimbals assembly can be easily manufactured without wastefully discarding the suspension even when the desired evaluation result is not obtained because of problems in the head characteristics and the floating surface of the head slider.

  • Publication number: 20080151428
Abstract: A first joint member connects the surface of a support body to a first end surface of a head slider. A second joint member connects the surface of the support body to a second end surface of the head slider. The first and second end surfaces respectively stand upright from the surface of the support body at opposite ends of the head slider. The centroid of a first joint surface established between the first joint member and the first end surface is located in a range between the front surface of the head slider and the neutral plane. The neutral plane is established when the head slider is deformed to convex or concave the front surface. When temperature changes, the bending deformation of the medium-opposed surface is reduced. This results in prevention of a change in the flying height of the head slider.

  • Publication number: 20080049361
Abstract: Connecting pieces extend outward from the support plate in the opposite directions along a crossline. A flexure body is connected to the connecting pieces. A pad is fixed to the support plate at a position ahead of the crossline. A wiring pattern extends from a pad. The wiring pattern defines a first straight portion extending forward from the flexure body along a first straight line. A second straight portion extends along a second straight line intersecting with the first straight line. A curved portion connects the first straight portion to the second straight portion. The curved portion expands outward from at least one of the first and second straight lines. The support plate merely suffers from a bending at a position ahead of the imaginary crossline even if the solder generates a stress based on its shrinkage. The wiring pattern serves to absorb the stress.
