  • Patent number: 7695810
Abstract: The present invention is drawn to a strip tape which does not undergo lowering of bonding force and which does not cause pollution of the natural environment, working environment, etc. The strip tape includes a center layer containing a polar resin, and at least one polyolefin layer laminated, via a bonding layer, on each face of the center layer. The bonding layer contains an ethylene-methacrylic acid-alkyl acrylate random copolymer. Since the strip tape includes a center layer and at least one polyolefin layer, the interlayer bonding force of the strip tape is high, the bonding strength between the center layer and the polyolefin layer can be increased, and the waterproofing property of the strip tape can be enhanced. Even when a packaging container including the strip tape is heated or cooled sharply during use, the interlayer bonding force of the strip tape is not lowered.

  • Publication number: 20070158019
Abstract: A process for producing a barrier packaging material reduces the number of processes, simplifies each of the processes per se, is relatively thin even though a multilayer, reduces the number of adhesive layers, and is advantageous in cost and environment. The process involves providing a 20 ?m to 45 ?m thick biaxially oriented film having ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer layers, polyamide layers directly bonded to both surfaces of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer layers and heat-adhesive polyethylene layers laminated via adherent resin layers at each external surface of the polyamide layers, subjecting to corona discharge treatment on the surfaces to be joined by poly(ethylene terephthalate) films of 5 ?m to 15 ?m thickness and the biaxially oriented film, and after the above-described treatment, performing thermocompression bonding of the treated surface to be joined by the poly(ethylene terephthalate) films and the biaxially oriented film, by means of nip rolls.

  • Patent number: 7201971
Abstract: In the manufacture of a paper container from packaging materials, damage of internal layers of packaging materials is promptly inspected, and degradation by light exposure of content can be prevented. A method of manufacturing light barrier paper packaging materials for liquid food formed from a laminate having a paper layer, a thermoplastic resin outside layer, and a thermoplastic resin inside layer include preparing a substantially completely bleached white bleached paper layer, providing a light barrier layer of light barrier material on the inside of the bleached paper layer before or during lamination of the thermoplastic resin inside layer, and inspecting for defects of the obtained laminate by observation of the visible or invisible inside surface of the bleached paper layer from the thermoplastic resin inside layer side of the obtained laminate through the light barrier layer.

  • Patent number: 6974612
Abstract: A paper packaging container is formed from the packaging material comprising constitution layers of at least an outside thermoplastic material layer, a paper substrate layer, and an inside thermoplastic material layer, wherein the inside thermoplastic material layer contains at least a linear low density polyethylene, and has properties parameters of an average density of 0.900–0.930, a predetermined peak melting point, a melt flow index of 5–15, and a swelling ratio of 1.3–1.8. The use of the packaging material allows easy filling and packaging to the packaging container and quick heat sealing, and results in more toughly and strongly sealed container, and the material can be used for achieved good sealing independently of the temperature of food contents and thus maintaining the non-scalping and quality preservability of the content product.

  • Patent number: 6969552
Abstract: A pellet to be used in a multi-layer laminate for storing liquid foods, comprising a hydrophilic reducing organic compound and a hydrophilic and water insoluble thermoplastic resin, wherein the hydrophilic reducing organic compound is kneaded with the hydrophilic and water insoluble thermoplastic resin. The kneaded compound comprised of the hydrophilic reducing organic compound and the hydrophilic and water insoluble thermoplastic resin is then kneaded with a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin and formed into a pellet. The pellet is such that 50 grams of the pellet when stored at 15° C. for one week in a sealed 180 ml container requires the presence of water in order to absorb oxygen.
