  • Patent number: 9598059
Abstract: A controller for a vehicle includes: an engine controller that outputs a stop request to stop an engine when a stop condition is satisfied, and that outputs a start request to start the engine or resume the engine from a stop preparation state when a start condition is satisfied; a brake controller that, at least in a period between the outputs of the requests by the engine controlling part, automatically generates a braking force for keeping parking regardless of a driver's brake operation and that in a case where an accelerator operation amount is smaller than a predetermined ratio, when the start request has been output and the engine is being resumed from the stop preparation state to a normal rotation state, the brake controller reduces a brake pressure to a first predetermined pressure in a shorter time than when the engine is being started from a stopped state.

  • Publication number: 20160244056
Abstract: A vehicle control apparatus includes an idling stop control apparatus configured to operate in a situation where a vehicle speed is less than or equal to a predetermined vehicle speed to stop or restart an engine when a predetermined parameter related to steering meets a predetermined condition and a lane keeping assist control apparatus configured to operate in the situation where the vehicle speed is less than or equal to the predetermined vehicle speed to generate a steering force with an actuator according to a detection result of a lane boundary sign, etc. The predetermined condition is set such that the engine is easier to be stopped or more difficult to be restarted in a case where the lane keeping assist control apparatus is in a predetermined operation state than the engine is in a case where the lane keeping assist control apparatus is in another state.

  • Patent number: 9278680
Abstract: A control device for a vehicle executes an adaptive cruise control and an idle stop control. The control device automatically starts an internal combustion engine when an operation amount of a start operating member different from a brake pedal is larger than or equal to a predetermined amount while the idle stop control is being executed. The control device sets the predetermined amount to a first predetermined amount when the adaptive cruise control is not executed. The control device sets the predetermined amount to a second predetermined amount smaller than the first predetermined amount when the adaptive cruise control is being executed.

  • Publication number: 20150259008
Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle including a lane keeping assist control mechanism configured to execute lane keeping assist control for preventing the vehicle from deviating from a running lane by the power steering mechanism; and an automatic stop control mechanism configured to stop the engine upon fulfillment of predetermined automatic stop conditions during running of the vehicle, the automatic stop conditions include a condition that the lane keeping assist control not be executed.

  • Publication number: 20150204255
Abstract: In a vehicle control apparatus mounted in a vehicle capable of executing an idle stop control, engine restart conditions for the idle stop control include at least a first condition that an accelerator pedal is depressed and a brake pedal is released. If both the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are depressed during an automatic stop of the engine, the first condition is changed to a condition that the accelerator pedal is depressed to or beyond a pre-set value A so that it is less easy to restart the engine than if the brake pedal is released.
