  • Publication number: 20140305608
Abstract: An object of the present invention is in that a body waste treating material can be manufactured by using a defective fibrous material unsuitable for forming paper generated upon treating a pulpable raw material without materials for complementing a water absorptive property and a water retention property and a wasting step in manufacturing at a low cost, and resources may be efficiently used. [Solution to Problem] This invention is characterized by molding a defective fibrous material unsuitable for forming paper that is a fibrous material obtained by defiberizing and dehydrating a pulpable raw material to a certain shape. The defective fibrous material is characterized by including thin and/or short fibers.

  • Patent number: 6881841
Abstract: Dibenzosuberanyl piperazine derivatives represented by the following formula (I): wherein R represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, which may contain one or more heteroatom-containing substituent groups and may preferably contain 2 to 30 carbon atoms, and physiologically acceptable salts thereof; and medicinal compositions containing these dibenzosuberanyl piperazine derivatives and/or physiologically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds show effectiveness in allowing resistance-acquired causes of diseases to restore sensitivity to drug, that is, a resistance overcoming effect.

  • Patent number: 6194816
Abstract: A base (10) has a substantially cylindrical plug (12) penetrated by two leads 14. A piezoelectric oscillator (24) is secured to and supported on ends of the two leads by supports (26). The supports (26) are formed from solder having as high lead content of more than 60% by weight, preferably 85 to 98% by weight. A cap (28) open at one end is fitted on the piezoelectric oscillator (24). The plug (12) seals the open end of the cap (28) and forms a gas-tight casing, thus forming a piezoelectric oscillator unit with piezoelectric oscillator (24) held gas-tight in the inside. The high lead content solder is soft and has a low Young's Modulus, so that it can disperse stress when the piezoelectric oscillator experiences. It is thus possible to evade stress concentration on the piezoelectric oscillator (24) and improve shock resistance. A layer of a solder with a lead content of 60% by weight or less or of tin or a tin alloy, is formed on the surface of the leads (14), and ensures solder wetting property.

  • Patent number: 5885638
Abstract: An adsorbent is described, which has a pore structure suitable for the selective and efficient removal of bitter components from fruit juice, and which does not contain ionic functional groups or the like in the structure thereof and can be easily handle, and more specifically, which comprises a porous crosslinked polymer produced from an aromatic vinyl monomer compound, and in which the specific surface area per dry unit weight, the pore volume per water-wet unit volume, and the specific surface area attributable to pores having a radius not smaller than 50 .ANG. per water-wet unit volume are not smaller than respective specific values. A process for producing the adsorbent and a method of treating fruit juice using the adsorbent are also described.

  • Patent number: 5839258
Abstract: A method for storing adsorbent particles of synthetic resin porous particles for a long period of time without causing decrease in the adsorbing performance and without attaching fungi, which method can be effected by irradiation of the porous particles hermetically sealed in a packing material such as a bag with radioactive rays at a dose of 5 to 20 kGy and storage of the resulting adsorbent particles in the hermetically sealed condition.

  • Patent number: 5254634
Abstract: Crosslinked copolymer particles comprising hydrophilic crosslinked copolymer particles with a hydrophobic functional group being bonded thereto via an oxygen atom derived from a hydroxyl group of said hydrophilic crosslinked copolymer, which are obtained by reacting hydrophilic crosslinked copolymer particles with a reagent for introducing a hydrophobic functional group in an organic solvent capable of swelling said hydrophilic crosslinked copolymer particles, said hydrophilic crosslinked copolymer particles being prepared by suspension polymerization of glycerol monomethacrylate and a crosslinking polyvinyl compound in the presence of an organic solvent, such as a monohydric alcohol having from 5 to 14 carbon atoms. The polymer particles are useful as a carrier for gel-filtration of hydrophilic biopolymers such as proteins and nucleic acids.

  • Patent number: 5114577
Abstract: A composite separating agent which comprises a hydrophilic polymer separating agent showing a degree of swelling in water of 10 to 100 ml/g-dry and having a giant network structure incorporated within pores of an organic polymer substrate showing a degree of swelling in water of 20 ml/g-dry or below and a degree of crosslinking of 4% to 100% by mol and having a porous structure as well as a process for producing the same are disclosed. When packed within a column, this composite separating agent having a high mechanical strength is hardly compacted and exhibits an excellent separation performance. Thus it is highly useful in chromatographic separation of biopolymers including proteins.
