  • Publication number: 20040101173
Abstract: A streaked pattern image analyzing apparatus for use in an analysis of a fingerprint and the like for aiding in the identification as to whether or not an applied first streaked pattern image matches a second streaked pattern image. The apparatus comprises an image distortion modification unit for modifying data on one of the first streaked pattern image and the second streaked pattern image such that a point on a first streaked pattern image which resides on a skeleton thinned from a streak of the streaked pattern image and having a corresponding point on the second streaked pattern image is brought closer to a point on a skeleton of the second streaked pattern image corresponding to the point, and an image display unit for displaying the streaked pattern image modified by the image distortion modifying unit and the other streaked pattern image.

  • Publication number: 20040032976
Abstract: A streaked pattern image matching method that matches a first streaked pattern image and a second streaked pattern image includes steps of: extracting data of skeleton pixels that indicate skeletons, which are lines obtained by thinning the streaks of each streaked pattern image; establishing correspondences between skeleton pixels by specifying pixels from among skeleton pixels of the second streaked pattern image that correspond to skeleton pixels of the first streaked pattern image; and, based on skeleton pixels of the first streaked pattern image for which the process of establishing correspondence has been carried out, rating the degree of matching between the first streaked pattern image and the second streaked pattern image and calculating a score that represents the degree of matching.

  • Patent number: 5210907
Abstract: A hinge used to attach a door of, for example, furniture in such a manner that the door can be opened and closed freely.A base 1 is provided with stopper portion 15 to stop connecting member 2. Connecting member 2 is provided with connector 31 to be connected to hinge body 3 and clip 43 which has hooking portion 42 to be engaged with stopper portion 15 of base 1. Elastic member 43 or 125 to push clip 43 is provided between connector 31 and clip 43. Hinge body 3 can be attached through connecting member 2 to base 1 with a one-step operation. Two stopper portions 15a and 15b or 92 and 95 are provided at the front and rear parts of base 1 respectively. Two hooking portions 42a and 42b, 123 and 124 or 135 and 139 are provided at the front and rear parts of connecting member 2 respectively. Moment generated from opening and closing of hinge body 3 is received by the front and rear hooking positions of base 1 and connecting member 2.

  • Patent number: 4873743
Abstract: A hinge having a base fixed to a piece of furniture and to which a pivotable member attached to a door is joined so that the pivotable member can be turned so as to be opened and closed, the hinge being fixed to a mounting member attached to a body of furniture. A rear screw engaged with the mounting member is inserted into and engaged with a recess in an upper wall of the base with the head of the rear screw positioned above the recess as the base is moved slidingly from the front side on the mounting member so as to be fitted thereon, and the head of a front screw which is engaged with the mounting member is opposed to an opening in the upper wall of the base from the lower side thereof so as to be engaged at least from the upper side with locking members on the base. The mounting member is made longitudinally symmetric, so that the base can be secured to the mounting member in two directions.

  • Patent number: 4760623
Abstract: A hinge of the type wherein a rotor is connected to a front part of a base by link arms in such a manner as to be capable of rotating with respect to the base, and the base is fitted to the fitting member which is fitted to the main body of furniture. The base is provided with a set screw having a ring-like engagement portion at the tip thereof, an elongated hole, and a sliding member having hook portions and pawl portions fitted by a screw inserted through the elongated hole. The fitting member is provided with a notch to which the ring-like engagement portion of the set screw engages from forward side, recesses with which the hook portions of the sliding member are engaged, and a lever having grooves engaging with the pawl portions of the sliding member from forward side, urged forward by a spring rotatably.

  • Patent number: 4724578
Abstract: A hinge of the type wherein a rotor is connected to be rotatable to a front part of a base by first and second link arms, the base is supported by a set screw on a fitting member which is mounted on a body of furniture and at least one of the link arms is urged so as to keep the rotor closed. The one of the link arms has a cam surface that is formed on the side of the base, and the base has a frame member pushing the cam surface, so that when the rotor is closed the frame member engages the under side portion of the cam surface to urge the rotor in a direction such that the rotor is closed.
